“We had a birthday party there tonight and the food was beyond awesome and delicious. There were 9 people eating and we had a big assortment. First the welcome you get is heartfelt, the description of the food and the specials just make you want to say “bring one of everything “. The portions are large and the salad Is also. I could go on and on but this is a place you need to try for yourself. I had chicken Marsala and it was the best I’ve ever had.”

“The Kast Net has some of the best food out there! When I need to pick up dinner, I know I can trust them to have the best food without any issues. I have not had 1 problem in over 20 years of going to The Kast Net. Five Star service and food all the way.😀”

I think she's not able to anymore. it's a bit sad because those working there really need to consider cleaning it up inside and out. Clean the tables and bar after customers leave and the next come in. Serve COLD beer. Used to be a great place to go to, something changed.”

“Surpassed our expectations! We began with the calamari then orderd the entrée. Generous portions of Veal Parm and Eggplant Parm. Everything was fresh and served right out of the oven. No hot lamps. The bread was also fresh and hot with a crunchy crust and very soft inside. Our server was excellent and attentive. He checked on us often. We will definitely be back.”

“Called over a week in advance. Asked about a party if 28, was told they could do it. Had a party at 6pm. Please come at 6:30. Called day before to confirm.. alls well. My mother shows up and the dissary started . We were to be in bar area and they told my mom they were putting us in the open. (This was a family memorial dinner) We were out in bar area (room) we ordered drinks. It was over 30 minutes before we got drinks. We were there over an hour and finally put in our order.1 hour later we were told that they didn't have enough steaks for our orders . 2 hours .. no food !! We left!! Now you have 28 people who will never step foot in this establishment again .. if you couldnt accommodate, you had plenty of chances to tell me. The waitress was used and abused they didn't have enough help and waitress said they said they didn't expect this much business .. bs! 1 group of 20 and one of 28... Plus others there eating .. poor planning on managers part.”

“I have never eaten at a better fast food place. No one would believe that a random little DQ in Crawfordville would be the best DQ that many people have had. Tallahassee DQ, take some notes! Side note, the customer service is absolutely impeccable. This place is perfect in every way.”

“I want to address some of the negative reviews I've seen. This is not a paid review, just an honest and fair review. If it sucked, I just wouldn't put a review.

*Slow service? Fast food ain't good and good food ain't fast! I mean, you're at a water front restaurant.... Where are you rushing to?!? I was going to call ahead and order, but I wanted to make sure I had time to enjoy the scenery and good folks. If you're in a rush and don't have time to take in the scenic views, good music and good people..... go somewhere else.

*rude people? Idk, but everyone I encounter was friendly. I'm from Tallahassee but I live in Atlanta. In the south, we have something called "manners". I can't explain it, but if you come in and keep in mind you're a "guest", you'll probably have a good experience. I got a friendly greeting for everyone I gave. From the hostess, to the bar tender, to the guests. Really friendly people. If you feel like people should be friendly to you because you're paying them, that's not how hospitality works in the south.

*racism? I saw that someone said that. Shamefully, I decided not to go to the Salty Donkey and, instead, I opted to go to The Seineyard Rock Landing. I'm glad I did, because when I got to Seineyard, I realized it the Salty Donkey. I'll admit, I was the only person of color there, but everyone was friendly. The guests, the staff... everyone. I didn't feel like a person of color there, I felt like a patron.... The same as everyone else that was there.

*KT! My server was KT. She was really a wonderful person. Being there for the first time, she was very knowledgeable of the menu and a great bar tender.

Food? I really enjoyed the food! Nice selection of oysters, I had a dozen raw. Gator tail was super good!! And I also had the blackened grouper.... Delicious .

“I’m surprised at a few negative reviews for this place because it’s fantastic. Also, I’ve noticed those reviews said that meat was bad, guys go vegan. Everything I’ve ordered was delicious. I tried hibachi veggies, teriyaki veggies, salmon and all soups. Great, great prices. Love the location and atmosphere too. My favorite place to stop by if I don’t have time to cook. I just moved to the area and already a regular at this restaurant. Low key awesome all around.”
