“The sushi was fresh and delicious, truly top-notch quality. The variety of rolls offered was impressive, catering to all tastes. But what really made my visit memorable was the exceptional customer service provided by Brie. She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was perfect.“
“Sake House is the epitome of a friendly neighborhood restaurant. service is efficient and food is beyond delicious every time. the BOGO deal makes the sushi especially affordable, and their crab rangoons are the best in town by far. my boyfriend and i visit multiple times a month and will continue to throughout our time in tallahassee! a forever fav ?“
“The food was great, I loved the muscle man sushi burrito. The Arnold Palmer boba is also really good, I highly recommend it. Ella was our cashier and she was great, she made the best boba I’ve had in a while. I’ll definitely be coming back.“
“Walking into Izzy feels like walking into a Tokyo Izakaya. It's cozy and intimate while still feeling a classy. The food is STUNNING (been several times, never been disappointed) and the atmosphere is perfect. But what really gets Izzy a 5-star in my opinion is their service and care. I have a soy allergy that often makes eating at sushi/Asian fare restaurants difficult, as it really limits the menu (I still like sushi though).I have never had staff care and take as much time to ensure there is no cross contamination as Izzy does.Every time I go to Izzy's, the staff check and doublecheck ingredient lists, walk me through what menu items don't have my allergen, and make sure everyone involved is aware of the allergy risk. They really go above and beyond. It means a lot. Five stars for Izzy forever.“
“I went here for vday. Staff extremely friendly and nice. The waiter was amazing & the chef was hilarious. He calls himself lil asia lol such a clown . Food amazingg !!! Definitely had s great time and experience since i walked thru the door. 10/10 !!!“
“We went for an early dinner last week. Alec was our server, and he was absolutely wonderful! The sushi, as always, was fabulous. For my entrée, I had seriously the BEST coconut curry I have ever had in my ENTIRE LIFE!!!! Not only was the texture and flavor absolutely perfect, it was a large enough portion for me to have for two more meals the next day. Thank you, Masa, for another great and memorable meal.“
“Lively but quiet and warm atmosphere, the servers are always on top of things and sweet to us, and the sushi is SO good. Me and my wife frequent here often :) And they always have their BOGO deal! It make sit so much more accessible than other sushi restaurants and I can't say how much I appreciate it.“
“Server had zero real recommendation or knew how to describe dishes we asked about prior to ordering. Wasn't very busy weeknight. As always the Tom Kha with shrimp was delicious and the sushi ? . The steak was slices if very thin roast, not what one would expect from menu or server, but it was tasty. Overall, I still like tha place and ther server tried her best, but needs some training on how to help with recommendation.“
“First time trying Hasu today, and I gotta say as someone who grew up in an Asian-majority area, the food was fantastic. The chef clearly knew how to properly prepare sushi and nigiri. The sushi rice was room-temperature and perfect, and the slices of fish were generous, fresh, and properly sliced. I also tried another restaurant’s sushi which was a bit more pricey nearby but you can clearly tell that Hasu’s sushi was made by a sushi chef while the other restaurant’s wasn’t.Some negative reviews on here complain about the menu and staff. First off, you really only need common sense to figure out that the deluxe sushi sets which come with sushi and a roll are not, in fact, all rolls of cooked sushi. If that were the case, they would state that the deluxe sushi set was an order of several listed sushi rolls. If you are still unsure, ASK the staff before you order. It is that simple.Secondly, people complain about the ‘rude’ staff. People in the area apparently do not understand how different cultures act differently; not everyone is smiley and chatty like Americans are. Sure there are off days, but if you’re nice to the staff, they’ll be nice to you.“
“I worked at the location in the other mall over 20 years ago, and the food at that location was always good. Well, let me tell you, the location at Govern Square is just as good or even better! I've noticed that the cook has been there for years. He is really chill and always asks if you want more sauce. They do know how to make the sauce. I know the recipe, and it's not easy to make. There are a lot of steps . But they seem to have it on point. I will always go here when I'm in town. The only thing I didn't like was that the veggies were pre-cooked, and it seemed like they had been there for a minute. They didn't have that light crisp texture that I love. But overall, the chicken and sauce always steals the spotlight and made up for it. Good job! I wish they would bring the mushrooms back!“
“LOVED Mori's! Me, my mom, and my sister all went to Mori's in Valdosta (located on Norman Dr, kind of behind Sonny's in the shopping center) for a girls night out. We had a BLAST! The food was beyond good, it bordered on EXCELLENT. The staff was great and very friendly. We hope to be able to go again very soon.“
“I recently had the pleasure of dining at Straw Hat Poke in Tallahassee, and the experience was nothing short of amazing. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere that set the perfect tone for what was to come. The sushi and poke offerings were the stars of the show. The sushi was incredibly fresh and beautifully presented. Each bite was a burst of flavors, and the balance of ingredients showcased their commitment to quality and taste. The variety of rolls catered to all tastes, from traditional favorites to inventive combinations. The poke bowls were a true delight. The selection of fish was top-notch, and the customization options allowed for a personalized and satisfying meal. The freshness of the ingredients was evident, and the blend of flavors and textures made for a wholesome and delightful experience. The service was outstanding. The owner is very attentive and more than willing to offer recommendations and accommodate any requests, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable dining experience. In conclusion, Straw Hat Poke in Tallahassee is a must-visit for sushi and poke enthusiasts. The exceptional quality of their dishes, the inviting ambiance, and the attentive service combine to create a memorable culinary adventure. I can't wait to return and explore more of their offerings.“
“This is one of my family’s favorite restaurants, and we have always had wonderful food. The sushi chefs are so talented, sometimes you don’t want to eat the dish because it is so enthralling, such as a dragon made of sushi! My favorite is the Thom Kha soup - and never seem to sway a different direction; however, I’ve had all their curry dishes, perfectly fried calamari, the best tuna salad I’ve ever had (no, not your American tuna fish and mayo). The tempura, duck, salmon, sushi, crab Rangoon, just to name a few, are just some of the dishes I’ve tried. You will not be disappointed!“
“Had a simple meal of Shumai soup(shrimp dumplings in clear broth), which was good, but it was cold. Had an Alaska roll and Eel Avocado roll and both were also good. The staff was friendly. Decent size menu with different options. Lots of sushi rolls. Parking on a Saturday night was nightmarish, but there are 6 restaurants within a 100ft radius.Parking: Tight spacing, limited available spots. This was Saturday night thoughWheelchair accessibility: Easy in and out“
“Came here with a group of 11. Made the reservation 2 hours before going with no problems. They sat us in the back area, which was very nice and private for our big group! We had Delaney as our server and she was very attentive, kind, and patient! She even took our group picture that my mom wanted outside of the restaurant! Everyone enjoyed they food & I especially enjoyed my favorite dish: pan fried noodles! Would definitely come back here again if I am back in the area.“
“I got the tofu and veggie hibachi with fried rice and noodles. I was able to get two full filling meals out of this and it was under $10. The quality was good and the taste was delicious. I ordered in house and took it to go and it was quick. I had a side of the spicy sauce and it was the perfect amount of spice and really enhanced the flavor because the tofu does not have much. I would definitely recommend this place and although you can eat at the restaurant, it is more of a to-go style place.“
“My husband just loved this placeOur friend from Jack's boat and trailers, Waymond and Teri ..On Saturday and we were back the following Friday as my husband became a Sushi loverWe got the same waitress her name escape me ,but very sweet girl still at school“
“I order online for pick up , and I can say is that I wished I lived close by in Tallahassee to try this location many more times. Visiting Tallahassee for the weekend I was looking for good Asian food around the area and this was one of them ! I order the chicken hibachi with Fried rice and it was delicious!!! The service was quick and my order was ready to go as soon as I got there ! Can't wait to try more of their food in the future .“
“Fantastic! We came in after a college tour, hot and hungry. We were immediately greeted by a friendly cashier who helped us get our order in. Our food came quickly, was hot, and was an immense value for the price that we paid. I filled my stomach and had enough leftovers for two more lunches! We don’t live in Tallahassee, but if we did, we would be back to eat here again in a heartbeat. Great customer service and value. Thank you.“
“My go to place for sushi!!! Their sushi is always fresh and made to order. The pieces of sushi are good sized and they have lunch specials. They have the best krab rangoon in Tallahassee by far with sweet and sour sauce!!! Definitely recommend them to anyone who wants good sushi in the Tallahassee area!“
