“Went for lunch at 2:30pm. We were seated right away. The server was attentive and happily answered all of our questions. We ordered the fried shrimp and mango salad, Penang curry and eggplant with basil. The food arrived within 15 minutes and it was beautifully presented and aromatic. The Penang curry had an amazing coconut broth with floral notes from the kefir lime and lots of fresh vegetables. The eggplant with basil was so flavorful with just the right amount of heat. The salad was so beautiful and fresh. We absolutely loved this place and will definitely be back. The restaurant was clean but nothing fancy. It has a diner look and the outside looks like a Waffle House but the food makes up for that 100 times over.Vegetarian options: All dishes have the option of tofu, fried of steamed, for your protein.“
“Prior to this last weekend I've only ever ordered takeout here and I was pleasantly surprised dining in. Typically I order the sushi lunch special which comes with 3 rolls, soup & salad for a pretty fair price. I came in without a reservation on a seemly busy night and was seated immediately, I also placed a sushi order despite being seated for hibachi. The steak was tender and the rice, noodles, veggies were all great, it wasn't overly salty or oily. The hibachi chef wasn't very talkative but he did offer to squirt sake in any brave diners mouths which was comical, he was willing to make adjustments to peoples orders too. The inside was cute and clean so no complaints here, I would definitely return as it's much better priced than other hibachi spots in town.“
“I don't come to Tallahassee often and when I do I struggle to find good food here.Izzy was an outlier. I ordered the spider roll and Tallahassee roll. Both were super fresh and tasty.I think my only complaints were, I think the eel sauce was a bit too much (also seemed too thick?)And i personally though the prices were quite high, 11$ for spider, and I think $18 for TallahasseeI'm used to $8 for spider and like $14 for a signature roll.All in all nice place“
“Great atmosphere! We just waited too long… they gave free appetizer to cover the waiting time. We waited for hibachi table, actually they have plenty of them but somehow it was too crowded at that day. As you know, the best part of the dinner is the cooking show of the chef. “Lively but quiet and warm atmosphere, the servers are always on top of things and sweet to us, and the sushi is SO good. Me and my wife frequent here often :) And they always have their BOGO deal! It make sit so much more accessible than other sushi restaurants and I can't say how much I appreciate it.“
“All the food was great, very high quality and cooked perfect. I also really enjoy the updates they did to the space after happy motoring shut down. I am really disappointed thought because they started to close on the weekend right when the weather got nice? For the life of me I can’t understand why a restaurant would stop being open for Fall, when traditionally all other restaurants go back to full hours for the college and legislative crowds, as well as the nice weather which makes the space there incredibly more usable. I hope y’all go back to normal weekend hours, otherwise I’m never going to be able to go.“
“When I picked up the order I asked if chopsticks and low sodium soy sauce were in the bag. He said yes to both. Once I got to the car and checked the bag they were not there. No big deal, I’m still at the restaurant. But then I get home to find the sauce that goes with my Honey Walnut Shrimp was missing was a different kind of hurt. Now I’m back…I wonder if anything will be offered for the inconvenience. I guess it doesn’t really matter because I’ll be back for more great food. Last night, we tried Hasu Sushi & Grill for the first time, and we were thrilled to find a great sushi restaurant right in our neighborhood! “Came here with a group of 11. Made the reservation 2 hours before going with no problems. They sat us in the back area, which was very nice and private for our big group! We had Delaney as our server and she was very attentive, kind, and patient! She even took our group picture that my mom wanted outside of the restaurant! Everyone enjoyed they food & I especially enjoyed my favorite dish: pan fried noodles! Would definitely come back here again if I am back in the area.“
“Cruising thru Tallahassee and was really feeling some Nigiri. I mean, it’s hard to go wrong with rice and fish! Was a little bit smaller (rice portion) than I am used to, but no complaints at all. Edamame was cooked perfectly as well. Waitress was pleasant and accommodating as I ended up on a teams call during my lunch. I would return (maybe on my way back from Alabama in a few days, LOL).“
“First time at the Sunday Buffet and it was very good. Huge selection of food and some decent sushi (salmon and tuna). Service was very good. Only complaint is that imitation crab was used for the crab cakes. Dunno why sushi places use imitation crab……“
“I got the tofu and veggie hibachi with fried rice and noodles. I was able to get two full filling meals out of this and it was under $10. The quality was good and the taste was delicious. I ordered in house and took it to go and it was quick. I had a side of the spicy sauce and it was the perfect amount of spice and really enhanced the flavor because the tofu does not have much. I would definitely recommend this place and although you can eat at the restaurant, it is more of a to-go style place.“
“My go to place for sushi!!! Their sushi is always fresh and made to order. The pieces of sushi are good sized and they have lunch specials. They have the best krab rangoon in Tallahassee by far with sweet and sour sauce!!! Definitely recommend them to anyone who wants good sushi in the Tallahassee area!“
