Service was okay and atmosphere was great!!!!! The smells coming from the kitchen were so good! I really wanted to love this place but I have to be honest. The dish that me and my daughter shared was the Injera & Shiro with gomen. The injera was hard (stale) around the edges, the shiro had no flavor and the gomen was DELICIOUS but there was just a little of it sprinkled on top. I tried Halisi Africa for the first time, I got an order of the chicken Swahili and the beef FuFu. Both the dishes were excellent! The man I spoke to on the phone was very helpful in helping me decide what to order. The food was made quickly and the shop inside was filled with beautiful jewelry and apparel. My only drawback was the portions were small.

Delicious food, friendly service, and nice decor. I got a stew served with fufu. Wonderful flavors and a fun experience dipping the fufu into the stew.Vegetarian options: Each section had vegetarian options. My mom & sister who are both vegan were very happy with the selections.Kid-friendliness: They have an assortment of board games and yummy fruit teas that we all enjoyed.
