7 Best Craft Breweries in Tallahassee

“I did some research on the best breweries in Tallahassee and DEEP was consistently in the top three, so I decided to check it out during my travels. Needless to say, I was not disappointed in the product at all. The beer is excellent! You know a place located in a business park that all the locals rave about is gonna be great because they’re surviving on the product and not location. Definitely worth checking out! (Note: I took a pic of each beer after taking a sip. Minor mishap on my part)“

“Nice little place to stop in for a drink. It's not an extensive menu, but what they offer is good. I really like that they offer different sizes, you don't have to commit to a full pour which means you can try more than drink. They serve some snacks, but you can bring in food. There are places close by, including pizza next door, and they often have food trucks.I'd like to try their coffee sometime.“

“This is a great brewery! Normally I go with lagers and pilsners but the Sensory Overload was so tasty I decided to stick with their hazy IPA’s the entire time. All three I tried are excellent (Sensory Overload, HAIZ, Perpetual Intro Skipper). I had their Pilsner in a can before too and thoroughly enjoyed it as well. The Power Mill location has good indoor and outdoor seating. It’s definitely worth checking out. Free WiFi and a water station, so you can keep yourself upright for the duration of your visit.“

“Craft and quality. I’ve been coming to ology locations for several years. All locations are great. At northside I noticed their attention to detail with “clear ice”, fresh squeezed juices, and garnishes on cocktails. Great food and beer to boot.“

“This is one of our favorite breweries. It is laid back, great beer, and they have a variety of fun games to play (Battleship, Guess Who, ring toss, game systems, etc.). They are kid friendly, dog friendly, and tolerate people pretty well too :) There are usually food trucks or you can bring your own food too and have live music some nights too. The staff and owners are incredibly nice!“

“I can’t believe how many great breweries Tallahassee has and Oyster City is no exception! They have a full offering of beers for everyone! IPA’s, Sours, Lagers, you can find it here! They have a great outdoor area with weekly entertainment and all of the staff are super friendly! Like merch? They have an extensive selection of that as well!“

“We have used Proof Brewing Company as a private event venue for our company parties for as long as I can remember. I cannot say enough extraordinary things about the venue and the people. The venue is expansive, and offers lots of nook and crannies to setup different things. The bank of high-top bar tables when you first walk in provide the perfect location for your welcome information and giveaways, the area with couches and coffee tables is great to setup a little area for the kiddos, and the outdoor patios (with heaters for those cooler nights) are outstanding. We host with an open bar, and there is not a guest request the bartenders have not been able to accommodate over the years.The food is incredible! Our guests all expect to see burgers and French fries, but Proof’s catering menu rivals the best catering companies in town! From house pimento cheese with porter braised candied bacon and green onion in a mini phyllo cup, to sous vide garlic baby octopus. Every bite is amazing, and the food is attended by a team who keeps it stocked and fresh at all times. For the first events we were afraid to order some of the cold seafood dishes like oysters, ceviche, and shrimp since we used to work for catering companies, and have high standards for food safety and the presentation. Let me tell you… the kitchen team is trained well, thoughtful, and over-the-top accommodating.Overall, Proof’s communication and organization leave nothing to be desired. We used to purposefully change venues for our events to other local restaurants and bars, but have not done so since the first time we hosted at Proof Brewing Company.
