“They were having a $5 small bowl sale, and I caught them right before closing time. The young lady was very friendly and happily made my two acai bowls. The toppings were plentiful and the overall bowls were beautifully made.I had the blue majic bowl with coconut flakes, chocolate chips, granola, and Nutella. It was delicious! I definitely recommend going to GoodBerry for acai bowls!“

“The Malibu bowl was excellent and exactly what I was craving! Love having a fresh, healthy option that was quick and easy. However, the smoothie I ordered was a bit off as it still had Kale pieces not blended very well and my smoothie wasn’t topped with chia seeds. I could barely taste the fruit in the smoothie. Not sure if that is normal but I won’t be ordering a smoothie again. The bowl will be ordered again and again!“

“Raised by a Jamaican mom, I tried their carrot cake juice and fell in love! Loved it so much I brought my mom to try it, she is also now a big fan. Tastes just like the carrot juice she used to make in Jamaica, and make for me as a kid. Such a lovely memory over a lovely drink. The smoothies are also awesome, kiddo loves them. I plan to support this black owned biz at every chance.“

Acai Bowl of Fruit

“Amazing Açaí bowls! Each bowl comes with your choice of filling, granola, three toppings and your choice of drizzle. If you want additional toppings they are 0.75 which isn't bad! I got the standard with the pitaya base, granola, strawberry's, bananas, peanut butter and chocolate chips with honey and condensed milk on top! The standard bowl is big and very filling!“

Via Brazil Cafe & Market Brazilian • $
1842 N Monroe St, Tallahassee

“Via Brazil is a new endeavor from the family that owns and operates La Tiendita. And it’s right next door! They recently opened for all day breakfast with an amazing menu. We did an embarrassingly large curbside order today to give it a try. And everything was fabulous! So what did we get? Here we go: Misto Completo: this is a ham, cheese, bacon, and tomato sandwich, topped with a fried egg, oregano and olive oil, served on a freshly baked French roll Choripan: Argentinan chorizo on a freshly baked roll with grilled onions and chimichurri sauce on a fresh baked French roll Pamonha a Moda: Brazilian sweet corn tamale stuffed with cheese and sausage Pao de queijo regular and Pao de queijo com queijo catupiry: these are cheese bread (regular) and cheese bread stuffed with catupiry cheese (Brazilian cream cheese) Croquetta de bacalhao: salt cod croquettes Coxhina de Frango e Catupiry and coxhina de bolinha de queijo: chicken and catupiry fritters and corn and cheese fritters. Polenta Frita: fried polenta fries And we ordered 6 of their fresh French rolls to go (they freeze perfectly). The food was just amazing. The sandwiches were unique and perfect. The tamale was different than a Mexican tamale as it was softer and tasted more like corn. It was also huge! The salt cod fritters were outstanding. And the coxhina were addictive. A few weeks ago I bought their O Portugues sandwich which is a fresh roll, toasted, with catupiry cheese, tomato, oregano and olive oil. I still think about how good that was! They serve breakfast starting at 8:00am during the week, 9:30 on Saturday, and 11:30 on Sunday. And they serve it all day. And did I mention that they bake the French rolls in house daily? And they serve dinner specials on Friday and Saturday evenings. What a great addition to the local food scene. Congratulations Sid and Nora“
