Nice restaurant. Food was great, servers were very attentive, and the atmosphere has a hometown feel.
Food was good but there was a hair on my bbq chicken flatbread…it was brought to our servers attention who was also bartending. She never came back to address it, actually never came back at all. After a bit of a wait. another waitress brought us our check and nothing was mentioned or even a slight reduction reflected on our check. We felt that was very unprofessional.
We swing through due to an accident on I-10. We enjoyed all the food from hummus to pineapple upside down cake. We felt full but not stuffed which is stuck a nice break from fast food while you are driving on the interstate.
Took my momma here for a special lunch. When we got there, she explained to me her nervousness of racism here. And I assured her it'll be okay that I got her, and I doubt anyone would openly treat us poorly. We get in get seated, we get our drinks, and we get our appetizer, then we become forgotten about. Roughly 4 tables came in after us, and while we were stuck waiting an hour for sandwiches, everyone who came in after us was served. The waitress even admitted to me that our order did get pushed back. As the only few people of color, even in the establishment, we felt very neglected. So, no, they weren't openly treating us poorly, but they definitely made sure they found a way. New tables coming in shouldn't mean our place in line gets pushed back. It was delicious food but definitely a place I wouldn't want to visit again.
On 6/5/25 we visited this place for lunch, at first we thought it was very nice, but we got here at 12:00 for lunch, it was 12:45 other customers came in they all had their food except us. I forgot to mention that we are Hispanic and all the white customers that came after us got served except us. We decided to pay for the water and left. If you are minorities I don't think they want us here.
I recently visited the Porch on the Green at 925 E Washington St, in Monticello, FL. I had a late lunch there on my way back home..I sat at the bar and was promptly greeted and my drink order taken. I then discussed my menu choices with the server. I decided on a chicken wrap with potato salad. They were both delicious. The decor was fantastic and I took around the four dining areas.
It was a nice experience for me and a few friends.
This place is so neat.Feels nostalgic. The food is fresh and hot.. The presentation of the food was on point and the flavors were so good!! Bring your wife here and she will love it..
Very cozy, homely and nice environment. I had the Winner winner chicken dinner and it was good. The mashed potato is not buttery at all which I usually like, nonetheless the item was tasty. My friends had Chicken Waffle which I loved. And must try their potato soup! The tomato soup is good too but the potato soup is unique and delicious!

The 5 of us ordered Ribeyes at $35 a piece. After waiting for 30 or so minutes the waitress came out and said they were all out of steak. The kitchen had just told her. I replaced my order with a fried pork chop and it was so thickly breaded....I had more breading on my plate than the pork I was served.. VERY DISSAPPOINTED AND WILL NOT RETURN OR RECOMMEND.

The food was out of this world! The interior was a great and vintage. My waitress was an amazing person, she stopped by to check on us once in a while. She was very nice, very welcoming, and I just glad to see her. I will definitely be here again. I LOVE IT! 🩵

I have eaten in numerous restaurants around the world that have been awarded a rare and coveted Michelin star, including a dozen with three stars. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that if a Michelin reviewer ever showed up at The Porch on the Green, they would award a star. Indeed, there are some dishes on this menu that would stand up to dishes at the twelve with three stars (of which there are zero in the state of Florida). This place has major league fine food.
