Must be new in the restaurant arena. Kitchen seems inexperienced, but eager to please. Ex: medium well burger was rare, spinach and arugula salad lacked spinach or arugula. Cute decor. Amiable waitstaff. Just need more expertise.

First time we ate there, I had the shrimp and scallops in white sauce. The sauce was almost entirely milk, so zero flavor throughout the dish. My wife had the version with red sauce and enjoyed it. We loved the atmosphere and the service was great. It was a lovely Saturday afternoon sitting outside enjoying everything BUT the loud machine that makes the inflatible dancing man that you see outside used car lots to get your attention. So, we try it again. First off, same loud dancing man. Why? Asked if it could be turned off and the waitress said, "the owner really loves it, but I'll see." She returned, turned it off, and a cheer went up. Imagine that. Second, I ordered the ribeye. Don't know cut that was, but it was NOT a ribeye. The knife provided sorta tore it apart as the meat was chewy and fatty. Add to that, no seasoning. None. Not even salt. It was a piece of beef cooked in a skillet with whatever was used to keep it from sticking. I have never in my 62 years STOPPED eating a steak. Boredom took over, I suppose, and I just pushed it aside. Third, the waitress disappeared. Eventually, we waived down another waitress and asked for the check. Three of us for dinner, four drinks and two beers came to 2 dollars short of $200. I don't mind paying good money for good food, but I HATE paying good money for bad food.Lastly, was anyone aware this is a smoking restaurant??? Apparently, if there's outdoor seating (only booths, by the way) you can puff away on cigars, which I had the novel experience of not enjoying as each puff from the cowboy in the next booth blew right in my face. Lovely.Looking for a good place to eat in town? Go around the corner to the quite-good Mexican restaurant or head over to Porch On the Green. Spend wisely.

We went with kids and the staff was dropping an f bomb every 10 seconds and yelling at the tv. The waitress never came to check on us. My husband needed a refill and never could get one because the waitress was too busy watching football. The food was horrible. My son wanted normal chicken tenders and there wasn’t even that. They had cheddar cheezit chicken tenders but he didn’t want that. Why make cheezits and chicken a combo? Why can’t they serve normal food? We ordered the quail and there was barely any meat on the bones. More bones and skin than anything edible. They care more about making it look pretty in colorful sauces than making it taste good. We ordered mashed potatoes and they were clearly from a box with just water. They were super bland and I’d rather eat cardboard. It’s overpriced, The portions were tiny and the food was bad. I don’t recommend.

Nice to see in Monticello. Had a burger and it was okay. Not anything to write home about and very pricey . Two people, and spent $100 with only 3 drinks and two meals. They definitely need some reasonably priced specials. The service was excellent. It is nice to have a bar in Monticello.

I ate here in early January and had some of the best fried shrimp I have had in ages. The fries were good too. Waitress was very nice. Atmosphere was nice, even though there was a bar...didn't feel like a Bar Atmosphere. Limited menu but what I had was great. We ate inside, but they also have outdoor seating.

My only qualm is that I wish they had at least one vegetarian option on the menu. However, I can’t say enough great things about the friendly staff and atmosphere. They were super nice and accommodating of the babies we were brunching with! A great place to dine in for the whole family with spacious indoor and outdoor seating.

Nice ambience. Server very nice. Ordered hamburger well done; it came out medium raw. Second one was cooked correctly. We were assured the onion rings were freshly made, but they tasted frozen. Onion rings are a dollar extra with an already overpriced hamburger. Beer selection is poor, and draught beer is eight dollars - the most I have ever paid for draught beer in this area.

We drove from Tallahassee to have a look around & some drinks & dinner. We both ordered scotch. The glass was great but the cocktail was stained water. Dewars & water. Alot of water. And to top it off they were $9 a pop. Worst cocktail for the price & we go out often. Didn't even put a stir stick in it. Then looked at the menu. Pricey & doesn't even offer baked potatoes. For the price point there should b more choices than some mashed red potatoes or fries. Disappointed. We just decided to leave. That look around cost over 20 bucks. Should have gone to Ted Montanas. Thank you

First and Last time here.Beautiful food presentation; it ended there.-Chicken Wings overcooked beyond any excuse- Fried Zucchini appetizer delivered as last item to table except deserts. They were soggy and flavorless.-Lava desert was not…. The center of the cake was still frozen cold.-They dont offer tartar sauce with the shrimp. They had to “make” some.Waitress was only slightly attentive. We received more attention from the head chef that stood by our table watching football instead of training his new cook in the kitchen.Worst of all are the chairs. I literally could not feel my legs or butt when leaving. The place has potential; it’s just not there
