What an amazing restaurant! Antiques adorn this amazing building with such character and architecture. Such a vibe to settle in at the bar for a specialty cocktail or glass of wine. Bartender was delightful and attentive. I had the please of trying this place for magical dining and MAGICAL it was! The Seminole pumpkin soup is like a cozy bowl of autumn amazingness. I highly recommend you order it. The menu is highly creative and unique. You won’t have this experience any place else in town or in Orlando for that matter. We drove all the way from downtown to dine here and it was worth it. If you’re going to spend a day in Mount Dora make sure you book a reservation here for dinner. You will not be disappointed

We had the best time eating here. We were celebrating our friend's birthday. Service was fantastic, food was AMAZING, and the bar staff makes some phenomenal drinks. I think my favorite was their Old Fashioned.

Food is locally sourced and everything is fresh.

The roasted oysters - holy cow were awesome! A must appetizer while they're still on the menu.

We dined at 1921 Mount Dora on Saturday, October 5th. We had the grouper, the snapper, the pork ribeye and the quail. Every. Single. Dish. Was exceptionally executed. And don’t pass on the rolls. Our server was Ani D and she was attentive, knowledgeable and kind. This was a celebratory dinner for my son’s new job and it was everything we could have wanted. Don’t sleep on such a terrific gem of a restaurant!

We love it here. Mt Dora was on my list to visit but the hurricane expedited this bucket list. We will definitely be back.

As a Mount Dora resident my wife and I are in love with “1921” and the main reason for it is the amazing staff and especially their new Executive Chef! The changes in the menu are just perfect.

Went for what we thought would be a nice dinner with my wife, they wanted to seat us in these hard un-cushioned bench tables next to a family that was rather loud instead of on the tables that were empty and had nice comfy looking chairs, and looked bothered by us asking for the comfortable tables which were all empty by the way. Only to be served undercooked grits in pizza sauce which we sent back, and requested the oysters as a substitute. Juzst to have they oysters served still attached to the shell, unpurged and full of dirt, and broken shell everywhere. I spent more time picking the oyster shell and dirt out of my mouth than I spent at the restaurant because it was not a good experience. Needless to day I sent that back after that nightmare of just 1 oyster. The 2 items were removed from the bill but I feel the managers attitude was sub par. Will not be going back and will definitely be warning people about this place.

Excellent service with exceptional food.
The hostess and manager were at the door and greeted us promptly and were very welcoming. The tables are live edge wood tables with irregularities and fit the room well. It is definitely to be noted the space you have in this room. Tables aren’t stacked on top of each other.

Our server was Rachel and she absolutely killed it all night long.
We started with Shrimp and Grits and Pumpkin soup. The shrimp was perfectly cooked with an incredible red sauce around and tomatillo or something of the sort on top. It was a healthy portion and tasted as I had hoped. The pumpkin soup was a vegetarian option, and couldn’t have been more unexpectedly delicious. As an avid meat eater this dish was full of flavor and again, a healthy portion.

Nice clean utensils brought between each course. Again with friendly service and banter. Our server was picking up on our vibe and we had a couple of good laughs.

The dinner was a Vegetarian platter and the BBQ smoked quail. The quail was good. I prefer it to have a very crispy skin, but to each his own. The flavor was good. The vegetarian platter was good as well, but we asked for a sauce to add, the serve god is a garlic cream kinda sauce from the filet dish and it was incredible.

We ended with the goat cheesecake and an apple cider and coffee opera cake.

Dessert was awesome. Totally recommend the goat cheesecake!

Definitely will be back. Great food experience!
