Chef Gianni’s is absolutely the best Italian you will ever have. Chef often greets you at the door and stops by your table to make sure your experience meets expectations. The waitstaff is friendly and polite. Fair warning- once you’ve tried the sacchatini , you’ll be unable to try anything else! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Been here a few times. The flavor and quality is great. The portion size on the other hand is less than satisfactory the last time. Had the signature shrimp and sacchettini dish and had a few shrimp and a few pieces of pasta in the bowl. Wish I took a picture of it as I left there hungry and felt like I got the short end of the stick. I have seen other reviews on here complaining about the same thing. Oh well there’s other Italian places around here to eat at.
Haven't been too many true Italian restaurants, and it has a different atmosphere for us. We enjoyed it very much and the food was amazing.

We decided to check out this restaurant for an early dinner based on a glowing recommendation, and while the experience had its moments, it also came with a side of disappointment.
From the get-go, we were greeted with enthusiasm and promptly given the rundown on the specials. I took the plunge with the butternut squash stuffed ravioli with roasted sage sauce, while my husband went for the rigatoni bolognese. I had high hopes, but the ravioli dish felt like a minimalist’s dream—about eight raviolis and enough sage sauce to start a new herbal trend. The sage was so overpowering that I had to scrape most of it off, and the elusive butternut flavor was like a secret agent—now you see it, now you don’t. Meanwhile, the bolognese was fine, but it didn’t exactly change our lives.
Our server was so attentive that at one point I half-expected them to join our conversation. While their enthusiasm was impressive, it did feel a bit like being shadowed by a very polite ghost.
The real kicker was the $30 price tag for the ravioli, especially when standard pasta dishes were all under $20. It was like finding out the fancy plate your food came on cost more than the meal itself. Lesson learned: always ask the price of specials before diving in, even if it makes you feel like a bargain-hunting cheapskate.

We had dinner here tonight for the first time .. it's an hour drive from home, and worth every minute!
Cute place, nice dining area, ample menu and friendly, attentive staff ..
Our server, Maddie, was lovely .. very sweet, well trained and so helpful!
My Caesar was delicious .. the right size so as not to spoil dinner and properly prepared too!
My Chicken Piccata was just the right balance of lemon and capers, the spaghetti was al dente and perfect! With a good glass of chianti!
We finished with cannoli and cappuccino -- we'll definitely be back!
Thank you, Gianni, for the wonderful experience!!

The food was stupendous. The Puttanesca was incredible, not on the menu but Chef Gianni specially made it, it was perfect, just right down the middle on spice, nice and peppery without a burn. Cannoli's were excellent and cappuccino was delicious and creamy. Our server Maddie did an awesome job, super attentive. Chef Gianni came out and greeted and chatted with us, very generous and friendly. Highly recommend this place, will be telling everyone I know about it.

We were so LOOKING forward for our first experience here. We'd heard so much, that we decided THIS was the place for our 50th anniversary and my birthday. We got seated. Then we waited quite a bit before our server came over. She took our drink orders. Our water took more than a few minutes and then hubby's beer came right out after our water.
Heather told us the special and it sounded SO good, but didn't share with us the price. Lesson learned.
Anyway, the ravioli stuffed with spinach was to die for!! Half way through our meal I finally got my glass of wine; I had tried to get her attention many times, but as she later admitted, she was distracted. Yep, talking to everyone else and was Heather was SO very inattentive to us.
The dinner was the best Italian that we'd both had in YEARS!! Our server, Heather, not being attentive pretty much ruined our lovely celebration.

Often eat here as we are local. Have given it 4 stars previously . Our favorite entree, and a signature dish, Sacchettini, no longer has lobster in recipe. Disappointed in the change. Please bring back the flavor with the lobster! The outside dining area could use a bit updating, we like sitting outdoors.
This place was recommended by a local and the recommendation was spot on. We went with another couple and had two appetizers and four dinners. The Sacchetti Pasta, which is their signature dish, was amazing. Dinner was topped off by a selection of homemade desserts. Small but quaint restaurant that is definitely worth trying if in Mt. Dora.
