Great local spot. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The food is delicious. Fresh fruit served with entrees was delicious and sweet. Highly recommend for breakfast.
I rarely leave a bad review, but this one was necessary.
I came here for a simple breakfast...just eggs and a side, and was shocked to find out their eggs aren’t even fresh. They cook frozen sunny-side-up eggs only, and they taste like water. The fruit cup? It’s a tiny ramekin with maybe four or five pieces of fruit for $6.
The place was clearly understaffed. It took a long time just to get menus (we had to go up to the front ourselves), and when it came time to pay, we waited so long that we eventually went up to the bar to check out.
When we tried to politely share feedback, the response was, “I don’t make the menu.” We clarified we weren’t upset, just hoping our feedback could be passed along, but we got the same dismissive reply again.
Overall, it was just a bad experience from start to finish. Lesson learned, there are plenty of better breakfast spots nearby that actually serve fresh food and care about their customers. Don’t waste your time or money here.

We went there for breakfast. Just wanted to get some eggs and some fruit. Eggs come one way... Fried with yolks. They were salty. The fruit was fine but they said fruit platter and I got a bowl. Don't plan to go back.

FROZEN FOOD, eggs and terrible CUSTOMER SERVICE. Providing a one star review is generous. To be honest, we’re visiting for a weekend and chose this place because we chose a popular location. Maybe the locals don’t recognize quality and even if the owners have been in business for 14 years our server was passive aggressive and really not great at customer service. She let us sit for a while without being acknowledged and getting us water. The food quality is terrible, do not expect to get fresh eggs because there are no fresh eggs. It’s all FROZEN! Food quality is terrible and customer service was non existent. There’s better choices look elsewhere. This is a transparent review coming from Tampa where we know quality and great customer service.

The food was ok. Rueben toast was burned. BLT was skimpy. FYI- the restaurant only has canned soda for $3.00. They did NOT tell me this when I ordered. I get it but why charge the same price for a drink as a place that offers free refills?

Glass shards found in 2 drinks. Management did not care at all. They sent 2 drinks to replace which we obviously did not drink. I swallowed before realizing it was glass. No questions if I was ok or needed medical attention. They claimed a chip in one glass got in 2 drinks somehow. Called me a liar because they didn't find the glass shard which was in my stomach. Charged full price for food. Filed a complaint with the health department. If they are closed down next week, you're welcome - may have saved your life.

‼️⚠️There was GLASS in both our drinks. I ate it without realizing it was glass, just thought it was strawberry seeds or tooth filling idk.. until my fiancé pulled out a chunk that he caught with his tongue. the staff was not apologetic and almost seemed annoyed. We still payed for the food and everything. Very dangerous, careless establishment.

This place has great sandwiches. My wife and I go here fairly often and the food is always good. The staff is very friendly and it's in a great location in downtown Mount Dora.

Me and my family of 7 came for breakfast we sat down fast and the service was great. We ordered our food and our waitress was the best. The food came out quickly and it was amazing especially the French toast casserole which the kids loved and the rest of the food was very good. Over all everything was delicious and I strongly recommend Cody’s on Fourth as a great place to eat

Oh man! This place is incredible. I had a pastrami on rye, and it was melty, crispy, and delicious! The mac and cheese was homemade and phenomenal! The service was kind and attentive. Excellent atmosphere - I’ll be back, for sure!
Five stars all around. It’s not a fancy joint, it’s a fun one! Absolutely delicious sandwiches and the mac and cheese was delicious. Very much Thanksgiving worthy, even. Clean, friendly, and fast, too. But mostly absolutely delicious.

Looking for a place that serves fresh foods for lunch, we found a cozy local spot called Cody’s on 4th Cafe.
Although it was Tuesday, the cafe was packed. The server greeted us with a smile and invited us to the place. He sat us in the last available high top seats in the middle of the front dining room. On the walls hang vintage photos and 4th of July decorations. I guess that is why the cafe’s name has ‘4th’.
They have been in business for over 14 years. This place has a variety of sandwiches and salads. They also offer a wide variety of quiches and soups made by the owner herself.
We ordered salads and they were good for two servings. The spinach salad had bacon strips and eggs. The house honey garlic was excellent and very much garlicky.
The chicken salad was excellent as well and you can taste the dill prominently. It has slices of grapes on the salad as well. This was sitting on a base of mixed greens and dressing.
Overall. I will recommend this place.
