Don’t let being in a Basement off an Alley discourage you. The Frog & Monkey Restaurant may be one of the best hidden gems of Mt Dora! A rustic basement tavern with some high end Craft Beer on tap and amazing pub food.I got the Ruby Burger, think a Ruben but with a burger, Swiss cheese and sauerkraut; where have you been all my life?!?!? This was followed up by a rarity in the craft world, Tripping Animals, Triple Ever Haze, a hazy, smooth, juicy fruit sweetness Triple IPA with NO hint that this gem is 10%. Holy Geezus, I love this bar and would be a regular if I lived here.IG: @crafty_fireman

We did not eat there, but stopped for drinks before dinner. It was my birthday. The bartender made me a free birthday martini rimmed with sprinkles, and believe it or not..it was delicious! Great place for drinks and service!!

If you should be fortunate enough to find yourself in Mt. Dora (318 ft ) you should visit The Frog & Monkey. A very cool little pub with great food, drink and atmosphere. Our server was delightful as well. And if you like stouts, the Left Hand Milk Stout is a wonderful choice. I also recommend the Pork Belly Tacos. OMG!

The Frog and Monkey Restaurant & Pub: Where the onion straws are legendary and the tunes make you wanna hop on a table (but please don't, safety first!). Seriously, this place is a gem. Great vibes, awesome atmosphere, and live music that'll have you bopping in your seat (or maybe even air guitaring, no judgment). Plus, the onion straws? Don't even get me started. A pub located in a basement.Nothing wrong with that but all their food was just nothing special at all.Waiters were to preocupied to joke with one another then to give the proper attention to the client.Food was almost fast food with a bit of a twist.And noise was terrible.
