This was our third time at this restaurant and have always enjoyed their food and service. We had hoped they would have improved the state of the lavatories. They have not, but has only progressively gotten worse. Having being in the hospitality business for over 20 years we have always judged a restaurants cleanliness by the state of the lavatories. It has just gotten worse. My wife stated, respectively, she does not want to return here as in her judgement it also is an indication of the cleanliness of the kitchen. We are moving on. Thank you CW

Prices went up and side orders went down and portions were almost cut in half
Extra bread and sauce are sm additional charge
Be prepared to pay 20% added tip to all checks no matter what size of the party, when you go to the weekend art show in Mount Dora. We were a party of two, never seen an added 20% on checks, guess times have changed. Ask before you go.

Burnt Cuban, see picture, bad service, Bad table location, backed up to bar chairs with people walking over us. To add insult to injury, they charged a 20% gratuity service fee for 2 people.

This place used to be good, Not sure what has happened in the past couple of years? We travel from Orlando to eat there and every time we’ve been there it’s been a disappointing experience, from Service to their food Quality has gone down the drain we keep giving them chances one after another but this time is the last time we will visit this restaurant!!

Very cool restaurant with rich quality food. I knew the food was going to be good based on how busy it was. A busy restaurant equals great food! My dish was flavorful.
Was told to come back in 15 minutes to get seated. Ok, no problem. Went back only to be told 15 more minutes. Sure thing. We get sat. We began to order Mac and Cheese with fries, Chicken Tenders with Fries, and we split a Garlic Cuban sandwich. Which, is what they are known for. My 16 year old got her tenders early as a kids menu item. We ordered the adult but whatever. They were the worst looking tenders ever. They mirrored calamari, but after pulling one apart it was chicken. My daughter began to eat. The rest of the food arrived. Our onion rings with the sandwich were deep fried in minimum, 14 day old fryer oil. Tasted and looked like it. The cuban sandwich tasted old, and it had no mustard on it. I proceeded to go get mustard from the bartender, who was our server, and my wife showed me the aluminum foil that was stuck on the back inside. I am now not happy. I picked up one of my daughters 3 squirrelly tenders, tore it apart, and it had plastic wrap still on the chicken on the inside. Gross. It made us sick to our stomachs. I proceeded to give this to our server, poor gal, not her fault, but she missed the service mark by not being attentive to what we ordered. Not good people. Not good. We will not show our food pictures as they are THAT bad.

Long wait time, good food, great waiters. Better than Copacabana down the street by miles.

Didn't actually get to eat here, the hostess was not very pleasant. Wait times were about an hour which I understand its a busy night, what I dont understand is that in 2025 we had to check in every 20-30 minutes to see if the table was ready because they had no automated system to inform patrons a table was ready... Finally got tired of checking in and went somewhere else that did.

In the heart of downtown My Dora. Great corner location. Busy. Expect slower service due to high volume. Seems authentic, alot of Cuban employees and patrons. Expect prices at tourist level.

The place is worth visiting. It has become a must-stop every time we return to Mount Dora. There are certain areas that need improvement, such as respecting the estimated wait times. We were told 15 to 20 minutes, but we waited 35. However, the food made up for it—it was absolutely delicious and very well prepared.
Another aspect to improve is customer service. The young man who attended to us was very kind, but we had to make sure he noticed us whenever we needed something after he brought the food. We requested a refill of sweet tea, and they told us they had already thrown it out—even though we had asked two of them in advance.
But overall, it’s definitely worth coming back because we really enjoy the food.
