We had a wonderful bday dinner with friends! The food was yummy and our server Mark took great care of us!

Dinner on the patio was delicious with a beautiful setting sun over Lake Dora. I highly recommend the brisket and the chocolate layer cake.

We arrived at 6:30 PM and we did not get served our entree until well over an hour later. My halibut was dry and my husbands rib eye steak was overcooked so long it was tough like a football and almost unable to cut and eat. We had eaten at this restaurant years ago and enjoyed it. Was so looking forward to a delicious meal. What a disappointment!

We were in Mt. Dora for the Arts Festival - and when we are in Mt. Dora - we always eat at Pisces Rising. We had a reservation for an early dinner and the restaurant was pretty empty at that time. The hostess took us to a table in the back in a corner - and I asked if we could sit near a window (to watch the sunset) so she moved us. Ordered our dinner - asked for salad and bread to come out before the halibut (special). We waited at least 10 minutes for our drinks to come and then another 10 minutes when our waitress came with our salad, break and entree. We said we wanted to have our salad 1st - so she put our entree back under the heat lamp.... It was still very good, but the overall experience was not what we expected. We talked to the manager to let her know what had occurred and she was great at service recovery. Just not the best experience - but the food was good as usual.

It was a beautiful day so we sat outside and enjoyed the music. Food was excellent. Generous portions beautifully presented. Although busy our waitress was very attentive. We received a very delicious complimentary dessert for my niece's birthday...an unexpected treat . Will most definitely go back.

Dinner was a very nice experience: the server, Jackie, was so nice and very good. The food was fantastic (the salmon dinner for me and the spicy chicken sandwich for hubby). For dessert we shared the chocolate cake and it was big and delicious!

Huge shout out the server Jade this evening! I was having a terrible first date; and I needed an out. She helped me out and slipped me her number! She even to make sure to tell me to text her when I got back to my car safely, and the guy left. All of the staff were incredibly friendly and the bartender did an excellent job on my drink. Will definitely back!

This was the hot spot 15 years ago. They have taken a fast decline over the years. The food that was once phenominal is absolutely horrible. There isn't one bartender that makes a drink recipe the same as another. I had a mojito the last time I was there that almost made me vomit. The time before the same drink was very good as an example. Also I have been when bartenders changed shifts. Drinks completly changed at shift change. AKA NO MANAGEMENT / NO LEADERSHIP / BAD BUSINESS MANAGEMENT. So don't believe the great publicity! YES they use to be great. NO they aren't any longer. Its a shame! Poor management and greed has won at the customers expense. Don't support this place. The Puke Bowl says it all. The worst, cheapest fish with 90% rice for $25 I believe? Close to it. I got sick it was so bad! At this point when they take money for what they serve it is criminal! They are robbing you without having a gun pointed at you. Hopefully Chapter 11 soon so someone that has pride can put something nice at this great location!!! Beware stay away meanwhile!!!

Replying to Joshua the NEW owner thats responsible for the failure is pointless. He is certainly no Annie Winters! When she owned it I had NOTHING BUT GREAT FEEDBACK! Joshua shouldn't own a Chucky Cheese. Enjoy Chapter 11!

I think it was way too expensive for what you got. I mean, the food was good, although I can't really say because I only got a hamburger and that was $20. Atmosphere was great and the service was great, but the prices are a bit much. $50 for a eight ounce filet, $25 for smoked kingfish appetizer. We were there at lunchtime.

12/26/25
Server: West (whom was very nice)
Food ordered: crab cakes, blackened tuna, 12 raw oysters.
My husband and I arrived at about 4:30pm. Food orders start at 5pm our food was served at about 5:50pm. We had no issues with the bartender and the other workers around the bar were very nice as well.
The oysters were my order and unfortunately (not my first time eating oysters) I became SEVERELY ill shortly after getting home and was bedridden for the rest of the night and all day Saturday with food poisoning. It completely ruined my weekend with family. Today is Sunday 12/27 and I finally have the strength to move around the house. Not well enough to go outside and spend time with my grandkids. My entire weekend was ruined!

This has ALWAYS been our go to restaurant when visiting Mount Dora, which makes this even more upsetting. As a fine dining establishment, I expect much higher standards especially when serving raw oysters. I hope management takes food safety more seriously going forward!!

Great location, inside reminds me of an older style clubhouse, refined but casual Outside is casual relaxed with a beautiful view. I recommend making a reservation, they can be very busy. Excellent food, quality service and a nice variety of beer and spirits.

Great location, menu looked interesting. We were told we would have to wait 2 hours to be seated even though the restaurant was 2/3 full.
