Where to begin, from the location, beautiful setting and ambiance that are all top notch, I can move on to the insanely delicious menu. We went crazy trying almost everything. There is not a single item on that menu that we didn't just LOVE! And the service was impeccable!!! Our server was just lovely and to have the chef come out to personally make sure we were taken care of... we just felt like VIP! We tried about 5 different drinks since we just couldn't make up our minds and they all were SPECTACULAR!!! But when you go... please have a Raspberry Cheesecake Martini FOR ME! You will NOT regret it! Amazing unforgettable experience.

We had seen this business on our last visit from Orlando about 2 weeks ago, looked over the menu outside, and peered into the restaurant. Originally said to each other, hum, I wonder if they have a little French Bakery inside? They did not, but came to realize that Chef John Prepares ALL things Fresh. We had already made plans to dine at another establishment that time, but said that we would definitely come back and try this new place out. Yesterday, February 23, 2024 at around 12 noon, again, we peered in and there was a large party inside already starting their meals. and there was another couple that had walked in just prior to us. We waited behind them and waited to be seated. Immediately welcomed by our server RITA who was excellent and attentive to our needs without hanging over us at the table. We honestly felt like we were in Europe (Paris, France again). We selected a glass of French Rose, and a glass of French Red to start, as well as an appetizer. The food was excellent as well, and Chef John came out to deliver it himself. What a wonderful man he is. It was a pleasure meeting him and his staff. The ambiance was also beautiful, just enough and reminisce of a beautiful French Bistro. Chandeliers. Sheer Elegance. Beautiful French music in the background playing. We would highly recommend this establishment to all that want a beautiful lunch or dinner in a refined establishment.

I have not been here physically- and I never ever do reviews, however I feel inclined to caution you all. This looks like a very cute and quaint establishment in the heart of Downtown Mount Dora- I called to make a reservation for this weekend, since I had submitted for one online and did not receive a response. Not only did the person answering the phone sigh (-as if it was a BOTHER) when I asked to make a reservation for this Saturday, but when he expressed “we aren’t doing that this weekend” I asked “oh is there a reason?”(Because if you live in this town, you know there are MANY festivals so I was assuming it was because of something like that. )He snaps “because we’re just not doing it”His response was honestly, incredibly distasteful and there was no reason for the attitude. This was a 30 second phone call- and I already received this attitude I don’t want to go here.I will never give this establishment my business. How do you speak to a customer that way?

I most wonderful and unexpected dinner last night. The food is truly amazing, The service is unparalleled. And the chef and his staff could not have been kinder making sure everyone’s needs were met. The food was to die for, Everything from the appetizers, Salads, To the main meal and desserts. This is definitely A place that I would make a regular stop at because I could find nothing wrong With the entire experience. I had the prix fixe that was on the menu and it was amazing. 10/10 would recommend.

Visiting Mt Dora led us to a real treat at The Mount Dora Bistro. The Sunday brunch was worthy of our celebration. Served on 3-tiered dishes, the assorted pastries, fruit, and entree samples matched the top-quality service our party received. We can’t wait to return!Dietary restrictions: Sensitive to allergiesKid-friendliness: The children in our party got friendly attention.

Cute place but you can’t eat atmosphere. Sorry to say-food was expensive and tasteless. The vegetable soup was hot water poured over a few large vegetable chunks. When he saw it was uneaten, owner apologized and gave us a complimentary little beignets on our way out—but did not offer to adjust the bill! Service was extremely slow, waited 25 minutes just for water. We were told a server hadn’t shown up. But still charged the mandatory 20%.

Dinner and service was excellent! Atmosphere was perfect from lighting, decor and music. Felt like I was in a Paris bistro. Loved the escargot, ceasar salad, espresso Martini, French onion soup, osso bucco and creme brulee. Made reservations for Sunday Champagne brunch before we left. Highly recommend!

We loved the concept on how they served brunch...a tower where you could sample and keeping sampling your courses without them taking one away. The staff was amazing and the owner and chef came out to introduce himself...top notch.

The escargot was like tasteless rubber. I had the turkey with Brie sandwich and there was a tiny sliver of Brie. I’ll never go back to this place again. Absolutely
