Tonys Clam Chowder Seafood Restaurant

Love everything about this place. If I had a dream of a Chowder House this is what it would be. During a recent trip to Boston, for one meal each day I had Chowder...and Tony's is still my favorite Chowder. Some in Boston may disagree but I recommend they take a trip to Tony's and see for themselves. My wife loves the Salmon. Good Hushpuppies are a bonus. Highly recommended when in Mt. Dora.

Tonys chowder is by far the best I have ever tasted. Standup owner ! We had a mistake with our order and he quickly corrected it.

Tony’s clam chowder is definitely one of the best I ever had. It is so creamy with enough clam and potatoes ratio and a little spicy kick at the end that leaves you wanting more. The golden fried fish was cooked to perfection. The Cole slaw was definitely cold and sweet. There is only 7 tables so it makes the dining experience more cozy. You will spend time looking at the wall decor while enjoying another cup of chowder for sure!

The food here was okay. The service was great. This is a cute spot located in the downtown Mt. Dora area.

Cute restaurant! The food was great! The clam chowder, was by for the best I have ever had at a restaurant. The price is very reasonable. I’ll be back.

Sorry to do this this used to be the spot but we asked what would dinner for two which was $42 and a separate dinner each was almost $40 and it was the same amount for both practically except one more shrimp The place may have the best clam chowder that's for sure however the service we received and the discussion we had about the value made the manager very upset to a point where he yelled at me I don't think I want to go back because of that

We ordered clam chowder and a blackened platter. Everything was extremely over salted. I dipped my fish in my water to make it edible. You could actually see a pile of salt on the okra and I showed it to the waitress and let her know that everything was very oversalted and suggested letting the chef know. I wouldn't return.
