The Anglers Cove restaurant... Located in the PORT OF THE ISLANDS RESORT has that great old Florida flavor... Under new management for the past two years... iAbsolutely worth the visit... Open now Tuesday through Sunday...

Menu is a joke. One page, with no descriptions. Used to be a good place to eat. Why did they change? We will not be back. A step below bar food..

I would suggest dining at a gas station before this place. And that’s being nice. The server bartenders were not on.14 people total at max, were dining in this establishment and it was slow moving. For a dive bar style place we spent nearly two hours in here… waiting. Our food was sub parBloody Mary tastes like it was made with V8 which is so incorrect.Never got the appetizer before the meal and it came out undercooked. A wad of cheese and breading. They remade, then the cheese curds were so over cooked, they were inedible. The ranch was water, they did not have any regular fries, just sweet potato fries. Those were so undercooked they were mush, oh onion rings, but those were also very undercooked. They were white. The smash burgers weren’t smashed.Over all just a disappointing experience. But to end on a positive note, the chicken tenders were not bad. So said my child.

I have enjoyed many meals here over the past few years while staying at Port of the Islands. This time was disappointing. I ordered a fish and chips basket. The fish came with some spicy sauce, not tartar sauce, which did not compliment the fish at all. When I asked about dessert, the server told me she would go and check to see what was available. She told me the only thing available that she would recommend was carrot cake. I said I would take it, as well as a cup of coffee. She basically told me that if I wanted a good cup of coffee I should go home. I had neither dessert nor coffee. This is not a criticism of the server. I felt she was being honest with me. It's a sad state of affairs when a restaurant is unable to offer a decent dessert and cup of coffee. As an aside, the server shared that she is only able to communicate with the kitchen staff by using an English to Spanish translation app on her phone.

This used to be the go to place. It had great food, fun staff, and fun atmosphere. Tonight we went there after a year and it’s been mutilated. We almost left before our drinks came because it too so long. We left before we could order food. The A/c wasn’t working. They had a dehumidifier running but it was leaking all over the floor. No one appeared to be in charge. We couldn’t get out fast enough. Very sad to see something so good be ruined.

The new male Gm/bartender was somewhat overwhelmed as he didn't have any back up or peoples that spoke English. The food was decent, but the owners need to get more employees that speak English because we couldn't understand the peoples that were delivering the food. We asked for ketchup , and they couldn't even understand what that was . This place could be good, but they keep making the same mistakes.. We went back in and there, young girl working in the bar that worked at the front desk. She was so rude and just walked off when we tried to ask her a question about the menu. Not a good way to do business.

What a shame. It's gone from tolerable to worse. Food is ?, service is ?, AC wasn't working, heard arguing from the kitchen. ?

I'm prejudiced as I live here and have worked in Angler's Cove as a karaoke host. It's been closed since, I believe, March. To say I'm ecstatic it's open again is understating things. I've only had the loaded nachos, and I loved them! Mine had flour tortilla chips but you can get corn chips too, or a mix. Great veggies including fresh cilantro, and nacho cheese sauce. I'll be back.

The restaurant is never open. Also, it is in a decrepit old building that smells like sewage It stays open for a few months, then closes for a few months. They change the hours all the time. I hope it permanently goes out of business because it's not worth a review. I would give it zero stars if I could

First time here and we realized that it's under new management. The menu is fairly limited right now but that doesn't matter. The best dish I've had in over a year was just sitting in front of me. The duck. The duck. The duck. After this experience, I'm going to dream of "Howard the Duck" only I'm kidnapping him and taking his fowl () mouth straight to angler's cove and delivering him to the kitchen. Next time I come here, I'm skipping meals all day and ordering two duck plates. Oh, and it's $20, which will get you a hotdog and fries down the road. You're welcome.

I love this place! Everything that I have had from there has been delicious, the service is excellent. The duck is the best that I've ever had, and so are there egg rolls. I had prime rib on Mother's Day, the flavor popped! I would highly recommend this place too anyone that is near Port of the Islands Resort. I'm lucky enough to be staying there so I can eat in the restaurant every single night.
