Was my FAVORITE place and came back visiting from NYC for the menu to have completely change, everything. Very sad and miss the old vibes. Bring back the charm. Most likely won’t be returning after that sadly. A shame really was truly the Gem of fifth Avenue.

Easily became my favorite place on earth. Best pizza, the bar snack that was pig ears is soooo good. The coldest beer, best service. 100/100. Thanks so much!! Can’t wait to come back.

This Italian eatery is a gem that delivers far more than its casual setting might suggest. We came in with a simple craving for Italian comfort food and left with an experience that balanced authenticity, creativity, and warmth, all in one delightful meal.

Our family opted for two dishes: a classic cheese pizza and a unique pasta quartet featuring rigatoni, spaghetti, and torchio — a playful twist on a traditional sampler. The pizza arrived with a perfectly blistered crust, thin yet sturdy, allowing the vibrant San Marzano-style tomato sauce and generous layer of cheese to shine. The flavor was balanced and nostalgic, yet refined. It offered a nod to true Neapolitan roots with just enough golden char on the edges to satisfy even the most particular purist.

The pasta dish, however, was the true standout. It was an imaginative offering that merged three distinct shapes into one cohesive plate, each cooked to a precise al dente. The rigatoni held bold sauces with authority, the spaghetti brought familiarity and comfort, and the torchio, a rarer find, added a delightful texture and visual flair. The sauces were deeply flavorful, showcasing a harmony of slow-cooked tomato base, aromatic herbs, and just the right touch of garlic and cheese. This dish felt like a culinary journey through Italy’s diverse pasta regions, thoughtfully composed and satisfying from first bite to last.

What elevated the entire experience, though, was the service. The staff were genuinely warm and attentive, effortlessly blending professionalism with friendliness. It’s the kind of place where you feel like part of the family from the moment you walk in, a quality all too rare these days.

In short, this isn’t just a place to satisfy a craving. It’s a place that reminds you why Italian cuisine, when done right, is so enduring. If you're in search of soulful food, kind service, and a dining experience that feels both familiar and special, this little gem is well worth your time.

Unfortunately, our experience at this restaurant was underwhelming. From the moment we arrived, the staff’s attitude felt cold and unwelcoming. The host barely acknowledged us and seemed uninterested in engaging. The person who seated us didn’t even confirm who we were—just gave a quick and vague “follow me.”

We asked for water and were given just a tiny amount, almost like it was a favor. It took a long time for someone to take our order, and even longer for the food to arrive. The overall vibe, especially from the waitstaff, came off as pretentious and distant.

The food might be good (though in our case, the service overshadowed everything), but the lack of hospitality was disappointing. A simple smile or some warmth would go a long way in making guests feel welcome.

Bar Tulia on 5th Avenue is a hidden gem! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the service was truly outstanding—friendly, attentive, and made the 4 of us feel right at home. The highlight of the evening was definitely the squash blossoms—perfectly crisp, delicately flavored, and absolutely delicious, we each ordered ss an app8then split a pizza. Every bite was a treat. If you're looking for a place with great vibes, flavorful dishes, and top-notch service, Bar Tulia is a must visit
