Bodega Olè has decreased the quality of the food recently, as a local costumer we visit quite often for their amazing food and atmosphere, in my opinion during the new administration the quality of the food isn’t what it used to be, water was straight from the faucet room temperature, the Chorizo in the appetizer was really hard, bread was cold in the middle, the Black Paella was extremely salty and lacking of sea ingredients, dessert great presentation but flavorless, service...
The tapas we tried off the happy hour menu were really small and very basic. I am happy they were half price or they would have been overpriced. We had the albondigas, patatas bravas, drunken fig, chistorras al vino. We did have the bacon wrapped dates on the regular menu and they were delicious. We were only offered the happy hour menu. I found the bacon wrapped dates on the online menu.
Food was very good but the service was a bit slow. During our time there, we observed around 4-5 employees standing around talking to each other while only 1-2 other employees were tending to the tables. I was hoping that the other workers would've assisted to expedite the service. The place was pretty much empty the whole time we ate there.
