To be fair to the general public, I don't give a place like this 5 stars. I feel like some people wouldn't give any restaurant 5 stars unless they had a maître d'. If you prefer a place without a maître d', give Bernie's a try. You might even give it 5 stars.

Took a group of 6 to Bernie’s - a first time for all of us. We had a mix of breakfasts and lunches, including omelets and sandwiches. Sophia was a great server, super friendly and attentive. Meals were delivered fast and hot and everything was delicious! It’s not a fancy place, but just top notch in every way. Can’t wait to go back.

Came in for lunch around 1pm they were almost totally full inside but didn't feel crowded and had cleared out shortly after we arrived the place was really clean and seating was comfortable.. a southern girl I find it hard to get a good glass of sweet tea in this area..but I have found it here at Bernie's City diner along with a really good meal.. started with a really good sized side salad with the best blue cheese dressing.. the turkey bacon wrap tasted good and was...
