Usually, I stop in for a drink when in town. It has a good vibe. Relatively quiet without being dead. The bartenders are friendly, and the service has always been good. I drink rum and cokes and they've always been good, not too strong, not watered down.

Went for a retirement celebration. Service was great plus a live band that was really good.
One of the best fish sandwiches I have had and I'm extremely picky about my fish sandwiches. Went on Wednesday, which was Karaoke night and really enjoyed the evening. Felt comfortable and right at home.

Have enjoyed the Blue Monkey for 10 years at least once a month and almost always go there on Friday nights. Very good food and really good service with fun servers. Occasionally order take out and did so yesterday and what a disappointment in service. Have so many take out places recognize my number on take out and say hello and call me by name. Last night you have a fairly emotionless server take my order and she completes it with you are having a lot no-shows on take out lately and wants me to pay right now......huh?? really?? Thanks for lumping me into the low-lifes of the planet. I refused and advised how long I have been a customer. When I get there she is now Ms. Unhappy with me and I do not recognize her from Friday nights. Anyway food (Carbonara and Wings) was great like normal. Too many folks looking for an excuse to be offended these days and I don't consider myself in that crowd. Will still look forward to still being there Friday nights. I recommend you use a phone system that tracks familiar customers. Most business use them.
