We had been waiting for Cafe Normandie to reopen after their usual summer break As always, a warm, cozy culinary experience with a good and well priced wine carte. We will be returning every week until we go back up north in September Last night was foie gras, boeuf bourguignon and garlic frog legs. Next time the Dover sole meunière prepared table side Always a delight Highly recommendedD Don't let the strip shopping center location fool you. A true gem.
We dined the night before closing for the summer season. Given that, the selections were good and the place was busy with a prix fix menu but I went to see their presentation(s) of foie gras, ris de veau, soufflès.............. They were not serving foie gras or soufflés. The ris de veau was ok. I will go back, when they reopen, but I'll be sure to confirm they are serving foie gras and soufflés when I make reservations.
As usual our dinner at Café Normandie was excellent. The coq au vin was fall off the bone tender and absolutely delicious. By far our favorite French restaurant and we come here often.
