The food is very good! The atmosphere is not great and the cooking smoke from the kitchen permeates throughout the entire restaurant leaving you with a very uncomfortable dining experience. My eyes were so irritated I could not enjoy my meal.
The food was delicious, great portions and everything cooked perfectly. The space, however, is very small and felt overcrowded. At $110 for a three-course meal, it felt a bit ambitious for such a tiny spot. Live and learn! We’d definitely come back for their regular menu. We noticed they offer a three-course option (including escargot and many of the same dishes we ordered) for $55, which seems much more reasonable. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Cafe Normandie last night. The weather was miserable outside but the food and ambience at the restaurant was excellent. I had a drink and we both had the three-course dinner of escargot, roasted duck with tangy orange sauce and chocolate mousse and profiteroles for dessert. Everything tasted superb.
