This is the best and most authentic Chinese place in Naples. At all of the other Chinese restaurants I’ve been to in Naples, the dishes are severely lacking in vegetables, like you might get four small pieces of broccoli and just meat, and it’s overpriced. Last time here I got the Mapo tofu, and this time I got the Szechuan chicken. Both had amazing flavor, there was a good balance of vegetables, spice level was perfect, the meat was juicy + tender, and it was ready in less than ten minutes. This place deserves a higher rating.

I hate having to write reviews like this, but after our recent order from China Chen (4631 Tamiami Trl N, Naples, FL 34103), I genuinely feel like I need to warn other people before they waste their money.
It’s so unlike me to leave a negative review—especially a harsh one—because I know restaurants have off days and things can happen. But this wasn’t a small mistake or a “not my preference” situation. The food we received was honestly inedible, and that’s not a word I throw around lightly.
From the moment we opened the containers, the quality felt off. Everything looked dull and unappetizing, like it had been thrown together without care. But the real issue was the taste (or lack of it). The food had no flavor, no freshness, and no sign of quality ingredients—just bland, unpleasant, and downright gross.
The worst part of the order was the fried rice. I’ve had fried rice from countless places, from cheap takeout to higher-end Chinese restaurants, and I’ve never experienced anything like this. It literally tasted like dirt—and somehow even looked like dirt, too. That’s the best way I can describe it. It wasn’t just “not good,” it was so bad that after a couple bites we couldn’t continue. The texture was wrong, the flavor was wrong, and it left an awful aftertaste that made it impossible to eat.
We also ordered the sweet and sour chicken, which should be a pretty safe, basic takeout item. Instead, it was another huge disappointment. The chicken was tough—not crispy, not tender, not fresh—just chewy and low-quality. The overall taste was unpleasant and the dish felt like it was made with the cheapest ingredients possible. Nothing about it tasted like something you’d want to finish, let alone reorder.
By the end, we were sitting there looking at nearly full containers of food that we had paid for and couldn’t eat. That’s the most frustrating part: it wasn’t just a meal that didn’t impress us—it was a complete waste.
I’m not writing this to be dramatic or cruel. I’m writing it because if you’re considering ordering from here, please don’t—at least not until something seriously changes. Based on our experience, the food was low quality, flavorless, and truly inedible. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone, and we will absolutely not be ordering again.

We have eaten Chinese food throughout Europe and in many places in US! We really don’t think any where has been better than China Chen in Neapolitan Plaza at Park Shore Resort in Naples. It really is a taste sensation! Absolutely fantastic food and amazing service!

Messy entrance, didn't show much care for service. Was not impressed with the food.

Great family restaurant. I keep coming back for the Singapore noodles and egg rolls. I actually thought of them many days after, amazing entree. Not really meant as an eat-in establishment more of a pick-up place. I am picky and I recommend!

The shrimp tasted fishy and the rice was dry and they forgot to send the sauce with the dumplings. It really was the worst food we have had.

A solid 4 out of ten. Typical Naples. Bland, less than avg.

Deliciously fantastic food and flavor. Everything was fresh and cooked to order. Seemed to typically be take out but has a small eat in option. Great and welcoming staff.

The woman taking the order don't like her customers, she is - let say it polite, not so friendly. Dishes are OK, not more. Hope the food wasn't tampered with because she was so angry. I will never come again ! So disappointing...

This is the closest you will find to north east style (NY and New England) Chinese Food. The Rice and the Recipes are quality and they actually have real Bao Buns exactly how I would have had them in a Buffet in China which is something you can't find anywhere. Highly Recommend!

This is the same place under the different name as Chinese Place. They try to trick people.I would give this place 0 or even - rating if it permits. The chinese lady at the front (most likely an owner) absolutely hates people who do business for her and feeds her family. She told us to stay close to the entrance and not to try to see what shady business going on in the kitchen. Then the food... The most tasteless chinese take out I have tried. The worse chinese take out. I do NOT recommend this place to anyone.

This food is great. I have ordered deliver from them twice and it’s been consistently outstanding. I’m not sure why others have had a subpar experience which I’m not doubting but mine haas been excellent!

So sorry, but the food is not good. Gosh, we were excited to have a good Chinese place by our house based on the reviews, but this was just short of dreadful. The Curry Chicken needed salt (I never add salt to restaurant food.) red and black pepper. I ate the protein and some veggies, then threw the rest out. The Moi Chi Pork was blah. The Sweet and Sour Chicken forgettable.

Vegetarian options: They have veggie options but we did not order them. Based on what we ate. I would caution someone to order here.
