We came here based on the positive reviews. The pizza appetizer was excellent, so we had high hopes. Unfortunately, my veal was inedible — tough and rubbery. I sent it back, and no one acknowledged it or checked in with us afterward. When the bill came, I was told they had taken something off the meal — turned out it was just 10% off the veal. Honestly, who does that? Very disappointing experience after such a promising start.

Our second time. I just loved how the fresh pasta and sauce tasted, and my tummy didn’t expand like it does after eating American pasta. Husband had the white fish and broccoli which was also flavorful. Atmosphere is welcoming and service from an Italian family is the cherry on top.

It’s easy to see why this place has succeeded despite being tucked away off the main drag. The food is exceptional, the service charming, the restaurant spotless. It’s owned and operated by a family from the Lombardy region of Italy (near Milan). Lovely.

So surprised at the number of good reviews. Found the food to be mediocre. The lasagna was good but didn’t show any trace of bechamel. The order of pasta carbonara was not edible. Pasta was terribly undercooked, instead of coating the pasta the egg yolk was raw and on the bottom of the dish. Dessert was just as bad. Service was neither friendly nor efficient. Waited at least 30 minutes after asking for the bill. Do not recommend.

This is not how Italians eat!. Service was poor food was marginal, very disappointing! No atmosphere at all. Try Trattoria Mangia on Radio road. Now that’s a great experience!

We celebrated our son’s 23rd birthday at Di Gusto last night and had a delicious authentic Italian meal in a clean, comfortable, relaxed environment. The owner and staff were gracious and attentive!! A perfect evening!!

My wife & I had dinner at DiGusto. The food was ok, but the service was excellent. There are a lot of Italian restaurants in Naples. This one might need some improvement.

First of all, we are Italian, from Bologna, and in over 22 years living in USA this is one of the best REAL Italian restaurants that we have experienced.
For a moment we thought to be in some cozy restaurant in North Italy, because the welcoming atmosphere, the friendly owners and the outstanding menu with real, not "Americanized", classic dishes that are part of our culture and history with a rare list of choices reflecting the Northern Italian cuisine, that it is so hard to find anywhere in the States. I am Captain of a superyacht where my wife is the Chef, and food and good cuisine is one of our passion. Everything we have ordered was over exceptional, correctly cooked and finally rich of those aromas and flavors that we can find only at top notch restaurants in Italy. 6 stars to a dish that has ancient history: Casereccie (pron Casaereche) di Gusto, a homemade pasta sautee in a sauce that will send you to Haven. 5 stars to "Pinsa di Riccardo", a rare-to-find focaccia topped with 1st class mortadella and a unique cheese similar to burrata....but better.
We recommend this restaurant to anybody that want to have one of the best real Italian dinner ever, and no......there the lasagna (thanks God) finally is not made with ricotta and tomato!!!

Roberto and his family treated us like family. A Birthday card signed by each member of the family and a very large birthday balloon. Food was delicious and service impeccable. A small, inviting restaurant. We are definitely going back.

This restaurant is a hidden gem in Naples. It is an incredible Family owned Italian restaurant, if you have Italian heritage or just love Italian food this is an incredible place to come. The food is out of this world!

The staff are super polite warm and friendly. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Come and give it a try I am glad I did!

I had read 2 favorable reviews on FB. And hadn't tried something new in a very long time. The appetizer, mozzarella capresse looked intriguing. 4 large slices of toasted Italian bread...2 of which had a Burrata cheese spread...2 had seasoned chopped tomatoes. Unfortunately, that was the best thing that we ordered. Chicken Parm was served as 2 round discs with a mediocre tomato sauce and standard mozzarella. Included sides were all vegetables. There was an extra charge for pasta. Most restaurants don't charge extra for a pasta side. My dinner companion ordered the Lasagne. I never saw such a flat, unappealing and unappetizing slice of pasta. No ricotta cheese was visable and considering there were only 2 other tables dining, the food was not piping hot. So we tried the cannoli for dessert. The pistachio filling had the consistency of 1/2 and 1/2. It flowed out as you tried to eat it. All and all, the dinner was sub par. I usually end my reviews with, “Make a reservation and go there.” I cannot.

Loved it. Thrilled to find this gem. Simple preparations , high quality ingredients. I enjoyed the trofie with pesto- not a common shape but it matches up with the classic genovese sauce. Entree portions are right-sized- for me that means I could finish it and be interested in dessert- brought home a lovely piece of a cherry tarte to eat later! Only thing I would change is the bread provided- I prefer something with a bit of crust and warm. This is on my list of favorites now
