As always, fabulous food and service! It doesn't matter if it's high season or if you are one of 3 tables on a slow Monday night off-season, the owner and staff make every night feel special. My wife and I celebrated our anniversary at Escargot 41. Since it was offseason there were only 2 other couples dining that night. Service was phenomenal since there were two servers for 3 tables. Servers were knowledgeable and made great recommendations as well as being very friendly. Food and wine were superb! Escargot, Spinach salad, duck and Flounder were our meals. All excellent and we finished with Profiteroles. So yummy!!!! Definitely a go to place for special occasions!
This was a beautiful experience. I have long refused to order duck at a restaurant because it is ALWAYS disappointing. The crispy duck was absolute perfection with moist, perfectly cooked meat enveloped by the most perfectly seasoned, crispy skin. The other entree was salmon in parchment paper with a mustard cream sauce and was superb. The only appetizer ordered was a wonderfully flavored cream of mushroom soup. The dessert, an apple tart, was anticlimactic but still enjoyable.
