Fernandez the Bull Cuban Cafe

In short, this is not authentic or even good Cuban food. I would skip this spot.

Born & Raised in Miami, the Cuban food there anywhere would beat this any day of the week.

They charged us 20% gratuity on a party of 4 adults, a newborn and a 1 year old. Ridiculous.

The only decent thing we ate was the lunch pork, it was a 3.5/5.

We ordered 2 palomillas. One was overdue for sure and spoiled. The chef didn’t agree, but I literally could not take the smell. The other one was flavorless and tough and cold. I get it, it’s hard to serve it hot but no good flavor anyway.

Cuban coffee tastes like the machine hasn’t been cleaned in a week or more. Burnt and watery. No amount of sugar could save it.

The sofas were flat unfortunately.

Now, here’s the saving grace.

The staff is amazing, super nice and attentive.

They did not charge me for the spoiled tasting steak and they exchanged it for pork. The pork was good for a replacement but I wouldn’t go out of my way to come here again.

I’ve not found a decent Cuban spot here yet, this was my hope for this spot. Sadly, the search continues.

I ordered to go, and the portions were very small for the price point. Sides of yuca frita and tostones were hard and tasted like reheated food. Had heard good things about this establishment but was not pleased with the food quality.

Croquettas served plain with no crackers or pickles. No flavor to them. Cuban sandwich was very bland compared to hundreds I have had elsewhere. Overall food was very tasteless.

The food was great. The Atmosphere was also great. The service was questionable. I asked for a drink (Bonita Sunset), and the drink was made with no alcohol. When I spoke to the server, she took it and told me that they put alcohol. I the end of the dinner, I received a bill with no details of the charges. When I was leaving, I asked for a detailed billing, and I was surprised that they charged me $9.00 for a shot of alcohol without telling me. That is stealing, and I left them a 20% tip.

Used to be my favorite Cuban restaurant in the area but they over extended with multiple locations and their product is going down the tube they serve a Pina Colada with a lemon wedge, that should say it all. The pork was fatty and the mojo had no garlic no sure what's going on with Fernandez the bull but it don't look good.

we’re from out of town and stopped in for a late lunch on the road. best decision ever! the food is delicious! we’ll be adding this stop anytime we’re in the area :)

Had a wonderful dinner during happy hour. We sat at the bar. Drinks were delicious. We only had appetizers and they were outstanding. Also had great live music. We will certainly be back.

I CAME HERE TO MAKE AN ORDER FOR 30 PEOPLE.
I WAS THERE AT THE BAR SO I CAN ORDER AND WAS TOTALLY IGNORED. ONE WAITRESS WAS ON THE PHONE TAKING AN ORDER WHICH IS FINE, TWO ORTHER WAITRESSES WERE JUST THERE. DIDN'T EVEN ASKED IF I NEEDED HELP. THERE WERE NOT ATTENDING TO ANY OTHER CUSTOMER. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AGAIN!
