After my first visit to Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse years ago, I promised myself never to return. Food and drinks had been, even by Naples’ standards, way overpriced, and the restaurant’s noise level had been almost intolerable. I kept that promise until yesterday, when my wife and I decided to give it, another try.

We were promptly seated per our 7:00 o’clock dinner reservation… at a table set for five.
It was a bit of an awkward moment not knowing exactly how to position ourselves at such a large table, but we made do.

Our server appeared almost instantaneously, introduced herself, removed the excess place settings, brought us sparkling water ($9) and a couple of ice-cold martinis ($16 each).
So far, so-so.

So-so, not just because of our seating, but mostly because the restaurant’s noise was still, after all these years, at that “singles bar” level. We considered leaving then but decided, against our better judgement it turned out, to stay.

The dinner special, consisted of two options: either a petite filet or a bone-in ribeye each with crab stuffed shrimp and a salad. ($68 and $85 respectively) My wife opted for the filet and I chose the ribeye. We also selected an order of Fleming’s Potatoes as a shareable side. ($19)

The Fleming Salad consisted of walnuts, cranberries, onion, Campari tomatoes and a balsamic vinaigrette. Tasty enough but nothing exceptional. So far… so-so.

The timing of the entrées was perfect. Unfortunately, when delivered, mine was placed on the table a bit too close to me. When I pushed the plate away, I scalded my fingers. The manager apologized and said I should have been told my plate was too hot to be touched.

My wife’s medium-cooked filet was juicy and tender. My medium-rare bone-in ribeye was not particularly flavorful or tender. Each steak was served with a dab of spinach and two small, crab stuffed shrimp which were dry and tasteless. The Fleming Potatoes (au gratin potatoes, with a cheddar and Monterey jack blend, leeks and jalapeno) were delicious.

My wife had a second martini, and I opted for a glass of Stags Leap Petit Syrah ($24)

Our coup de grace, was a decadent dessert of Bananas Foster; a creamy, custard-soaked bread pudding with a caramel, rum and banana topping. ($16 each)

Our overall dining experience was not good. Poor value for the price, inconsistent food quality, unrefined atmosphere and noise, and service snafu does not equate to a high-end steak house experience. Our total for the evening with taxes and tip was $365.00.

We made a OT reservation for lunch at 1:30 on a Sunday, very quiet time. We sat in the bar and waited 10 minutes for the waiter, they never came by. It the GM was walking by and asked if we had been helped, no....he said I will get you some water....he did then said someone will be with you, another 10 minutes and I flagged down the bartender, who had no customers....and asked him if we could order, as we needed to be somewhere ....he stumbled around and said we are really backed up, so not sure how long it will be....we left....after 30 minutes of no service, went to T&T and was served and out in 25 minutes.....

We have eaten at Fleming's numerous times, including once a year birthday celebrations, and , unfortunately, this was our least happy experience. The bone-in ribeye was tasty but thinner than usual. The creamed spinach was no longer offered...just sautéed spinach which, while good, was not what we were hoping for. And they were out of mushrooms so we capitulated and ordered the new corn dish which was acceptable. The main problem was the lobster tails which came out over cooked and hard to cut. They were graciously replaced by two tails which were under cooked. And we were not charged but one of us went home hungry.Very disappointing. Will we come back again? Not sure.

Food and service was as usual very good! Unfortunately they now have live music playing from 6-8pm. At 6pm it was much to loud. Couldn't hear any one at my table. Later it was toned down. Too bad.

Nothing special. There are so many more steak restaurants in greater Naples that are less expensive and offer attentive service. I did like the live music in the lounge while we were waiting for our table. Mashed potatoes tasted like boxed potatoes.

Everything was really good at Flemings last evening. Except...the music was just too loud! We asked if it could be lowered and were told that someone else had just asked the same thing and supposedly it had already been lowered. Sure did not sound like it...But we will return, and hope we can dine in a more quiet environment.

The food was very underwhelming. Our waiter was fine, nothing good or bad. We will NOT be returning to this location.

Went for anniversary and greeted with a rose and little heart sprinkles. And they took a picture All good very nice. Missed the champagne toast and candy as in the past oh well.Drinks were good and shrimp cocktail very good. The steak came out a little warm and rapidly cooled, potato where from a big batch and very bland. The rose nice but steak house stuff should be better. Seems like they are slipping

Shayne, our waiter was a Rock Star!! Terrific service can make all the difference. Great fun!

Henry was a wonderful server and made our anniversary so special. The seabass was cooked perfectly and my partner loved his short rib. The drinks were perfectly made and the complimentary toast was such a touch. Thank you to all the staff for the start to finish experience. It was truly remarkable.

Food and service is great, but the reception is awful, very unwelcome and when asked to accommodate us to another table because the AC was blowing directly on us , they weren't as professional and friendly. After all you pay premium price for the restaurant. And this is a repeat time at Fleming's.

We first came in after the valet took our car. Nice guy out there parking car. We sat at the bar and had an awesome tender/ waitress. She really went out of her way to assure we were happy and taken care of. We finally got our table and had Shane as our waiter. Man! He was great in every way. There were 4 of us. He took good care of the whole table. We'd started with calamari. Excellent flavor. Enough for the 4 of us. We all ordered steaks and he assured that all the orders were as desired. Everybody was happy with their orders. The food was as expected. Good cuts of meat, prepared as ordered. Filets were thick, rib eyes were big, and lobsters were just right. Shane was excellent and on his game all night. It's been a while since our last visit and we recommend Flemings. Great place.
