Went to Shabo's for first time accompanied by two guests. Was very quiet when we arrived for 6:15 reservation. First impressions were of an elegant white tablecloth European bistro, with plenty of space between tables and booths for accommodating guests without being on top of each other. Karen, our server, introduced herself and welcomed us and explained overall approach. Drinks were served and cocktails were well prepared and on par with upscale restaurant bar services. After browsing extensive menu, asked Karen for recommendations and, after explaining that these were most ordered items by repeat customers, we started with octopus and falafel, both of which were well prepared and delicious. for entrees ordered Lamb Molokhia, herb braised lamb shank with unique sauce, made of herb-molokhia, with a side of rice pilaf. Lamb was fall off the bone tender and sauce was wonderful and, indeed, unique, in a good way. Moussaka was also well prepared and wonderfully tasty. Overall experience great. A gem of a bistro with some of the best food served in Naples. Don't let location in Pebblebrook Plaza deter from dining here.

We had been hearing great things about this hidden gem and it lived up to expectations. The chicken shawarma was delicious and the made-to-order baklava served with a scoop of ice cream was to die for. We will definitely go back!

The food was fair at best! Might be the worst shish kebab I've ever had! No vegetables and a very odd seasoning.

The food was very bland. There was no flavor in either dish ordered. There were only two tables filled at 6:30 in the evening, and we had a wait on drinks and food. The menu has gotten smaller and very limited.

Good happy hour food was rushed probably because they were catering to a party of 50. Our prior visit there was a bit better.

There was a sewage smell as soon as you walked in. The hostess was not friendly at all. Did not even smile. The food was overpriced, and the quality is on 1 of a scale of one to 10. We had the beef kebab and the ground beef kebab. The beef kebab was undercooked. I asked for a medium rare and it came rare and room temperature. The ground beef was overcooked and dry. Our server Clarissa never smiled once and seemed irritated with any questions or request we had. When asked what the difference was between the lamb, she responded in a very sarcastic response and ask me which lamb entree? it was definitely a one and done for us. I would never recommend anybody to go there. There are only about three other tables in the whole restaurant so that shows you that it is not a great restaurant. Not sure why there are high ratings on yelp unless it was paid for. Do yourself a favor and spend your money elsewhere.

Egyptian chef cooking here in a chic restaurant inside a strip mall. Attractive interior, although very cold ! ( ladies bring your jackets). Food review split between our group of 4. Some folks loved the “ special spice “ added to rice and many other dishes; others hated it. But great variety and uniqueness of menu. However, drinks not very innovative, and service less than attentive. We have heard their 3-5 pm special for $19.95 is a bargain.

We have been to Shabo's several times, the food is always great, no complaints at all. The only issue is getting in and out of the parking area.

Party of 8 and we all loved our entrees. The food was served piping hot. Service was courteous and efficient! We'll definitely return.

Delicious lamb shank and mushroom risotto and shrimp risotto. Good house cocktails with fresh hummus, babaganoush and pita. Check it out, early bird menu looks great too!

Food was fantastic. 4 of us had the Christmas Eve special of Prime Rib. All agreed it was seasoned perfectly and cooked to the temperature ordered. The Branzino and Mushroom risotto were excellent. The beef kabobs were cooked perfectly. The mushroom soup and baklava received high praise. We were greeted and seated timely. Service would have been rated higher had the Bar service been more timely. There was a long delay in receiving our drink order. Staff were friendly and very apologetic.

Truly the worst experience. Chose the restaurant from the internet being close to our house. It was Christmas Eve afternoon and we all decided what we were having before we got there. When we got there they had limited menu and none of what we wanted was on there. I understand doing that on Christmas Eve day but I wish they indicated that on their web page. My husband wanted to leave to go somewhere else, but I said, “let's just stay and give the food a try”. There were 4 of us and nobody was happy with their meals, very tasteless, poor presentation, and one meal (prime rib) was way overcooked to the point it couldn't even be cut without struggle. It was returned and the second plate came out better. I had a wine and asked for a side of ice 3 times. Finally when I ordered my second glass, I said “and I'll have a side of ice with that”. I did get it that time. The waitress was not up to par and they weren't even busy. They only had a few tables of patrons. Living close by, we used to go when it was Gino's and loved it. Very disappointing to say the least.

Waitress was not attentive at all and there were no other patrons in the restaurant when we arrived

It is a true gem in North Naples! The restaurant is classy with cozy upscale ambiance, and the chef's talent shines through in every dish. Menu is so interesting and not boring with Mediterranean items, some classic America and several unique Egyptian dishes I’ve never even heard about.
The early bird special is a fantastic deal – $19.95 for salad/soup, an entree (we got a chicken kebab – perfectly seasoned and tender), and a glass of wine. The presentation of the chicken kebab was exquisite. The eggplant parm is also a must-try and my personal favorite. We can't find a comparable value anywhere in Naples. We're already looking forward to returning this Sunday for the Prime Rib and happy hour. Highly recommended!
