J. Alexander's Restaurant

Let’s talk about J. Alexander’s, where I recently enjoyed the Cypress Salad and the Prime Rib … a combo that screams “I’m healthy… but not too healthy.”

The Cypress Salad was a pleasant surprise. The crispy chicken was actually crispy (a rare miracle in salad land), the avocado was ripe, and the ranch dressing hugged every bite like a Southern grandma. Crunchy pecans and smoky bacon turned what could’ve been a side dish into a star player. It’s comfort food disguised as a salad … and I’m not mad about it.

Then came the Prime Rib, a glorious slab of beef that reminded me why red meat still rules the table. Juicy, tender, perfectly seasoned …it melted under the knife like it had something to prove. The au jus was rich enough to be bottled and sold as cologne.

Service? Attentive. Atmosphere? Warm, modern, and classy without trying too hard.

Verdict: J. Alexander’s nails that sweet spot between upscale dining and down-home satisfaction.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ — Would absolutely return (and probably order both again).

We have been to this restaurant in Naples, FL many times. Every time it was excellent. We always brought friends with us and they loved it too. Great food, great service. A great experience every time. Our favorite dishes are: grilled artichokes as a starter, grilled filet mignon as a main course—the béarnaise sauce is top notch. Since everything is cooked on a real charcoal grill, the grilled dishes have a special flavor. We will definitely pass on the information to all our friends—it has become our favorite steakhouse.

Had an amazing experience at J. Alexander’s this afternoon thanks to Alli and Erin. Both were fantastic — friendly, attentive, and made everything feel effortless. They offered a small wine sample to try and served a perfect Blanton’s on the rocks.

Excellent service all around — the kind that really stands out and makes you want to come back just for them.

I went with group of 4. A server brought our water and took our wine order but said he wasn’t our server. A while later we saw a different server wandering around with our wine so we flagged him over. He said he wasn’t our server either. Quite a while later our server finally came and took our orders. Two had fish and chips and said their food was bad; one sent it back and ate a baked potato and the other nibbled at it. The can cakes and ribs were delicious…BUT the coleslaw was left off the crab cake dish and he said he’d bring it but never did and had to be asked several times for a bag for takeout. Group consensus: we will NOT be returning!

We had been going to J. Alexander’s in Naples at least 2 times a week . No more!! It was our go to restaurant for myself and my wife
The last time broke the elephant’s back
A club sandwich where they let it out of the kitchen with toasted bread breaking into pieces and being delivered to us after the manager saw it come out of the kitchen like that
My hamburger, after asking for a dry bun, first being delivered with the roll burnt, redone and then delivered with mayonnaise.
This unfortunately was the third or fourth problem we had with this restaurant . We kept going back, giving it another try .
Shame on us for trusting

I love this restaurant. I've had the pleasure of eating here multiple times this past year and each time was excellent. One of my favorite items on the menu is the chicken and kale salad... it's huge and has a wonderful taste. If you are really hungry, try their pork chop... wow..... impressive. I highly suggest you treat yourself to a meal at J. Alexander's, it is well worth the money. I have yet to be disappointed.

Outstanding experience!!

First timers left impressed with the quality of the food and service.
Portions are enormous and you can tell everything is cooked from scratch with fresh ingredients.
Our server Dominika which she treated us like royalties with the
professionalism,knowledgeable warmth welcoming suggested Prime Ribs and Pork Chops were maybe the best we had in Naples.We can’t wait to go back again

We went in to have a lunch and try the hamburger it was terrible and cost $20. We won't go there again you can go down the road and have a $10 burger at Longhorn twice as good.

Everything tastes like home — from the spinach con queso and kale salad to the chicken fingers. Fresh, consistent, and absolutely delicious. Such an amazing experience here from start to finish! Our waitress Dominique was very kind, attentive, welcoming, and gave great recommendations. I got the branzino with roasted red pepper cream sauce (from the chef's special menu) with a side of broccoli and asparagus, and literally the BEST branzino and veggies ever! I would've gladly ordered another entree for myself if I wasn't already so full and satisfied hah! And omg the desserts were heavenly!! Even though it was just a small group of four of us, we were treated like VIP. The manager Zack came out personally to greet us and make sure we're well taken care of, in addition to the already wonderful service provided by Dominique. Too bad I was merely visiting Florida over the weekend, or else I'd be back again this week. I'll have to go to their Clifton, NJ location asap!! Please open a spot in NYC too!
