La Santa Tacos & Tequila

This used to be my favorite go to Mexican restaurant - we’ve gone a good number of times (prior to name change). We went for the first time with name change and was very disappointed! We arrived right at opening and we were the only ones there. Started off with her asking if we would like more chips and we said yes. She never brought us more. Then our food arrived, so we didn’t remind her. The mole enchiladas were always so good but this time, they were tasteless. Mole sauce and chicken had zero taste to it. She never came around to see if we needed water refills or for us to even ask. I paid cash to avoid the stupid fee they charge to use a credit card and the waitress never brought me back my change! It wasn’t much so I just reduced the tip so if she wants to get that back, she can get it from the change she never gave back to me. If you are going to force cash on people, give them their change. Again, we were the only ones there- the service was horrible and sadly the food now is too.

We pulled off the highway to goto chilis….Kandela Killed it. The birria dumplings were the start of our meal followed by two mojitos. We had the Carne Asada and the Enchiladas Chipotle between the food the drinks and service and drinks and food and service haha it was a stellar meal. The staff, the music and the scenery are all a wonderful accompaniment to an already excellent experience. Bravo.
