Got the CLT roll. It was your average lobster roll from Maine 50/50 meat to bread. The Bisque was thin, but had a good taste. The interior where I ate couldn’t I get past every air ducks has black mold all over them. New paint job couldn’t hurt. Overall, a taste from home but after tax soup and a sandwich for $50, I’d rather fly back.
I grew up in Boston with lobster being one of my favorite foods. I live close by & use take-out once per month. I enjoy both the RI/CT style (hot & buttered) and the traditional NE style roll. When you order either from Lobster Roll #1 one thing is for sure, they will skimp on the portions. The Lobster Bisque is also fabulous &:has full lobster included - although I highly recommend adding the extra meat which is a generous amount. NE Clam Chowder is another favorite...
First time to Lobster Rolls No.1. Absolutely, mouth-watering, delicious. By far, the best lobster roll I have ever had, and I can't wait to try some of the other menu items (in particular poutine!). The gentleman who served me was personable and smiled through all my questions.
