Los Molcajetes has a unique Mexican menu and the food is very good. There were about 4 tables of people when the 5 of us arrived. We waited about 10 minutes before our drink order was taken, and another 10 minutes before our food order was taken. Then, we waited more than 30 minutes for our food. In will say that the server and kitchen did what they could to honor a special request from my wife for grilled onions. The server was very nice and the food very good, but the long wait...
Very poor service. Practically unable to talk on the phone as the communication on their end is beyond bad. They cater to the regulars, so expect a wait time of at minimum 45 minutes for your food to arrive. There were multiple regulars that came in, ordered just as much as me, and got their food a while before me. The servers do not come to the tables often and i had to go up to the bar to ask for my first beer, again, because 20 minutes after I ordered my first beer it was not...
Wait staff was friendly the second we walked in the door . We sat in a booth and it was comfortable and private with authentic art and decorations all around us.
