Is it normal for a Ritz-Carlton restaurant to have confusing menus and indifferent service? Our dinner at Ria tonight felt like a complete waste—unfortunate, especially on day one of our stay.

We were excited for a well-executed Hispanic meal but left disappointed and confused. The $80 ribeye was just a basic steak, served with three tortillas and a few sauces—no explanation, no context. Our server made no effort to guide us or set expectations, and overall seemed disengaged.

Some bright spots: the chips and guac were solid, and the hamachi crudo was nicely done. But my wife’s salad was mostly thick stalks with hardly any leafy greens, and my daughter’s steak was tough and chewy. My ribeye was cleared before I even had a chance to snap a photo.

There was also no pre-bussing—empty dishes just piled up on the table.

This wasn’t the level of service or quality we associate with the Ritz-Carlton name.

Cocktails poorly made, too sweet, unappealing presentation, had to send back 3 cocktails that tasted awful. Dinner food was good, but service was slow and impersonal. Not up to Ritz standards. Disappointing overall, except for pleasant surroundings. Ritz can do much better.

Our waitress had stepped away, and someone else came over who was totally rude. He gave us a hard time about everything. I absolutely would not go back.

Beef tenderloin dish was very flavorful! Shrimp ceviche was awesome. Ambiance was beautiful

Service, drinks and food were all fantastic, with a great view of the golf course and peaceful vibe!

Really disappointing experience. Menu changed and the new one can’t compare. Terrible service took forever.

The atmosphere was very beautiful being in the outdoors. Our service was friendly and adequate. The food was delicious, although the halibut was quite dry. The guacamole and warm warm chips were fantastic.

I am very sorry to say our dining experience last night was not what we were expecting. We had 8 people and service was very slow, our waiter, John, was unattentive, and the food was just not good. The menu was just changed and very difficult to navigate all of the combinations with all of the suuces. When we asked for assistance and recommendations our waiter was not familiar with the menu and he was not eager to take the time for questions. We have dined there many times before as we live in Tiburon and we always enjoyed the shrimp tacos. In fact ,that is why we decided to dine there Sat. night. PLEASE bring back the shrimp tacos!!!! We asked if they could make shrimp tacos but we were told no. That they did not have shrimp as a choice. Shrimp however was available to add to the caesar salad. Over all, it was a very negative dining experience. To the credit of the waiter, there was not enough wait staff to service the restaurant and it appeared that there was a special party there with many people to service. Please bring back the old menu, at least the shrimp tacos, and we would be happy to give Ria another try.

Hotel restaurants are always hit or miss. Ria is a hit! My beef tenderloin tacos were incredible! Ria's take on the traditional fried cheese was well done. My wife's beef tenderloin with fingerling potatoes & peppers was equally outstanding & different. Ambiance is perfect! If staying at the Ritz Carlton Tiburon, make it a point to have dinner at Ria.

Loved this restaurant! Setting is beautiful - overlooking the golf course and vibe is wonderful. Came here for dinner and we all enjoyed the apps and entrees!! Will definitely come back.

Food was decent. Service was slow and inattentive. This menu is very similar to the menu available at the pool for anyone dining there after having a day eating poolside.

A beautiful venue on a warm night. Good food and inventive cocktails. A fun family oriented restaurant. If you want more romantic....go later in the evening when noisy little ones have already been put to bed.

We were surprised such a delicious latin inspired restaurant was outside by the pool. It was a chilly evening and many tv's were blasting the football game. It was difficult to talk with the games in the background. The food was good, but ambiance terrible. We imagine it is fine for a very casual poolside lunch, but not recommend for a date night out.
