Sam Snead is back. Last night's dinner was relaxed with wonderful table service (Aldo was a great server), delicious three course dinner on the Sizzle Menu including salad with honey mustard dressing, prime rib with smashed potatoes and mixed veggies, and a decadent chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream. Kudos to your turn around. We will return.
We sat in the bar tables and there was only one waiter in this area, the bartender. He was overwhelmed so this is the Managers fault. We ordered the salmon and the short rib. We also had a salad just prior. The salad was really good and fresh. When the food came out it was wrong. It was a slab of ribs instead of the salmon. They brought it back. My husband and I ate all of my entree. Then the bartender brought the fish and a to-go container. I said no we don't want to take...
My husband and I enjoyed a casual dinner at Sam Snead's, and we were not disappointed in the food or the service. It was nice to be greeted by the familiar faces we have come to know over the years. The new menu has something for everyone. The only thing missing is Happy Hour til 7 in the dining room. It would be nice to have that back. Until then, I think we're lucky to have such a nice restaurant as part of the Lely Community.
