Who would close down and give the entire staff a paid day off for his birthday? Al would and that's what I admire about his entrepreneurial ways. Happy Birthday Al.Been going there for 10 + years for the coldest beer now no longer the coldest Cabernet wine. It seemed like a charming little hole-in-the-wall bar but failed to meet those modest expectations. $14 for two dogs with mustard was exceedingly expensive; not exceedingly friendly was the one employee that appeared bothered he had to get up from talking with friends at another table. The joint is cash-only (noted only on a few small signs behind the bar, although a Zelle payment was accepted)- I would have been better off going to Pincher's across the street for two beers...
I don’t even want to publicize Coney Island because what’s awesome is that it’s hidden…but Al has a total winner! Walk up, order a cold beer, and enjoy the low-key atmosphere. Love it for what it is ?
