Why aren’t employees wearing gloves when making food for customers?? I ordered birria tacos and while preparing my food they employee stuck her bare hands in to the container of cheese, and proceeded to put it onto the tortillas. She didn’t even wash her hands before starting. You’d think during a pandemic there’d be some type of hand hygiene!! I asked her isn’t she supposed to be wearing gloves while handling customer’s food, she then responded “I only wear them sometimes, not now because I’m in a rush.” I told her never mind and walked out. I don’t usually write reviews but I might as well today. I reached out via Instagram to get into contact with a manager, but instead I was blocked on there. So yeah, make sure you watch them while making your food! Better yet don’t even eat there! #GROSS?
We stumbled upon this humble little taco shack our first day in Bonita Springs. They offer offer wide selection of Cuban and TexMex. We got the beef tacos and a Cuban sandwich. Wow. They were fantastic. The Cuban was huge and the tacos were authentic. We went back again at the end of the week, and I tried a chicken soft taco. It was delicious too.
Awesome food, Dave is the best, if you want a quick lunch, this is the place
Ordered carryout. Got salsa with chips and steak burrito. Excellently prepared food! Would recommend. Great hidden gem.
My wife and I had lunch at Taco Mix this afternoon. Don’t let the restaurant’s exterior discourage you from eating here. The restaurant doesn’t have the fancy decor, but that is more than made up for by the quality of the food. I had a covered steak burrito (be sure to order it covered with red sauce, sour cream and cheese). My wife had the Vaca Frita, which is a lime marinated flat steak, and fried plantains. Both dishes were excellent. And there are food awards on the walls, one of which is from Trip Advisor. Go ahead, try this restaurant. You’ll be happy you did.
Interesting place. The tacos are great with a lot of flavors. The Cuban-Mexican fusion works. Very tasty and the staff is friendly.
The best fast cuban/mexican food around town for the price. Cheap and good quality food. Love their chimichangas Cubans and taco.
Great Cuban-Mexican food made to order on Bonita Beach Rd. The wait is longer than a fast food, But It’s worth it! ?
The Cuban was yummy!!!!! Tacos are usually good, authentic and freshly made. There are areas to sit inside to eat too.
I ordered a tostada with chicken , over 7 bucks, :( for this little dive of a place , you order at the counter and pick it up at counter when your name is called. No chips or salsa to go with it . Not a fan of this place

I love this place! Usually do take-out; but dine-in once in awhile; very good and consistent and inexpensive! Whenever I need a quick (and great) meal; this is the best choice over any fast food chain!
My wife and I have recently relocated to Bonita Springs. We absolutely love authentic Mexican food and take the time to look for hidden gems. This is not one of those. It is staggering to think that Taco Mix is highly rated. After entering the dingy drive through restaurant with a single cook in the kitchen attending the drive up window and the food being served at the tables, we ordered and seated ourselves at what we discovered to be a half clean table with salt and pepper shakers that appeared as though they had not been washed for months. First out was a whipped green substance said to be guacamole. It was graciously presented in an aluminum container. Upon request, two, one ounce portions of hot sauce were delivered to the table. The Grilled Veggie Soft Tacos were served cold and offered scant portions of under-cooked ingredients. My Pork Chimichanga was the highlight, but could not have been any less authentic. It was Fair Food. And to cap it off, with a total of two beers on the tab, the bill came in at $35.00. If you are looking for traditional Mexican cuisine, this is not the place.
