My wife and I really looked forward to having dinner here again Monday night the 296h.
Table was not available and we had to wait understandable so we went to the bar and delightfully ended up getting two bar seats for a romantic date night kid free.
That’s where the service and kindness ended, just kept going down hill from this point on.
After sitting for 15 minutes, we were able to get a drink and they put out a nap too. As the place setting. 4 bartenders . We looked at the menus and closed them up while we kept making eye contact to let them know we were ready to order. After 20
Minutes my wife had to uncomfortably speak up to the senior bartender that came out behind the bar to ask him how do we get our order placed. The senior bartender came around and was apologetic and got us back on track…he tried and now we had a connection for service.
We were talking to 3 different couples on out right side of us and met some lovely people from Ohio and local while we waited for drinks or dinner
After dinner was ordered our senior bartender we found out ended his shift and we were back having to find another bartender to provide service. There was no Hand-Off. the second bartender was a younger guy with all tattoos……it was like pulling teeth to order a second round of drinks
Made it through dinner finally. Bat thinning out, tattoo bartender finally comes back and nicely asks if we would like to see the desert menu and we say yes.
We order a desert and tattoo bartender says great you will love that, would you like it to Go? We were both flabbergasted, so Rude.
Tattoo bartender now not around when desert was delivered to our table. A third bartender is talking and foot up leaning in talking to a couple to out left. We realize we have no forks to eat desert. We keep festering and trying to get the third bartender to help us but would not do anything. I got up and walked around looking for some silverware, third bartender finally stops and asks what he can do. I tell him again some silverware would be helpful to eat the desert
I was so disappointed in the service and now regret I even tipped the ghost bartender staff 10%
Now we get our vehicle back from valet. My driving glasses were bent. At this point I went back in to talk to the manager to relay my evening at his restaurant and valet. Manager shocked me when he relayed the third bartender told him I came around to behind the bar and grabbed a bottle. I did not ans told the manager to pull the cameras. So I am seeing how this behavior is being driven from the top down
I gave the manager my business card wirh my phone and email so we can get the repair of my glasses rectified through his insurance.
SURPRISING I HAVE NOT HEARD BACK FROM ANYONE AT THE RESTAURANT

We were really looking forward to our dinner at Truluck's given all the raving reviews. The food was underwhelming for the price - dishes were either too salty or lacked flavour. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was great though!

Bought a ora king petite salmon for 51$ it was maybe 6 centimetre’s wide with some butter, rice , 2 tomatoes, and some herbs. I personally didn’t like the rice but that may just be me. The salmon tasted decent on the outside but had zero seasoning in the middle. Honestly would not recommend spending 51$ on this dish.
The BEST! Always celebrate special occasions there.

From the moment we sat down at Truluck’s in Naples, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. Jelena, our server, was attentive, warm, and incredibly professional. After bringing our water, she surprised us with an assortment of H₂O accoutrements—lemon, lime, orange, and cucumber—which immediately set the tone for the level of detail to come.
Jelena walked us through the entire menu and nightly specials with impressive precision, thoughtfully highlighting fan favorites and seasonal standouts. Heidi, our sommelier, was equally outstanding—her knowledge of the wine list was thorough and confident, and she guided us to a fantastic Pinot Noir that paired beautifully with our meal.
Every dish exceeded its description. After our stone crab claw appetizer, we were delighted to be presented with warm, lavender-scented towels—such a luxurious touch. We ordered the crab-stuffed lobster tail and the filet flight to share, and without us even asking, Jelena had the kitchen split both dishes onto two plates. That level of service does not go unnoticed.
The undeniable star of the night was the king crab mac and cheese—truly unforgettable. The creamy cheese sauce clung perfectly to the pasta, and the generous amount of seafood piled on top was indulgent in the best way.
Johnnie, the manager, stopped by our table and spent time chatting with us—funny, personable, and genuinely pleasant without being intrusive. And finally, the world-class carrot cake… no words. Creamy, decadent, rich, finished with warm caramel sauce and candied nuts—absolute chef’s kiss.
Beyond blown away. Truluck’s delivers excellence on every level.

We ordinarily come here about 3 times a year, but this food experience was awful. You can tell everything was pre cooked and lacked flavor . The crab cakes were cold, the Caesar lacked flavor and not enough dressing. The Prime Ribeye was underwhelming and the Grouper had a strange flavor . All the sides were flavorless . The baked Alaska was the Highlight of the meal. We live in Naples and always had a great dining experience at Truluck's but after spending $900 I felt very disappointed. I'm sure there's been some changes in the kitchen , please get your act together.

A disappointing experience from start to finish. Just to give you an idea of where I’m coming from, Wynn Las Vegas and Crystal Cruises are my second homes. I know what good food and service looks like. This dinner was really subpar from beginning to end. We were told to expect live music until 9:30pm. The pianist stopped playing at 9pm sharp. The place was mostly empty this evening, but turned into a ghost town with no vibes when the pianist stopped. The place was literally completely empty. The booth was covered in dust and dirty (see attached pictures). My beautiful dark velvet jacket was covered in dust when I left. Everything our server recommended was awful- they were friendly and personable, nicely dressed and looked the part. Their “signature” famous stone crabs on ice lacked presentation and tasted freezer burned; totally flavorless. We were promised hot hand towels for the stone crabs- that never happened. My miso sea bass was burned and over cooked- a weird concoction of way too many flavors and spices. The caesar salads and Sonoma salad were very plain and unimpressive; tasted like Walmart pre-made salad thrown on a plate with a little dressing. We were never offered dessert. The worst part was when we left, we clearly overheard the server say “they didn’t tip me” to the bus boy, in which the bus boy replied “they’re Europeans- they don’t tip in Europe.” I replied to the bus boy “we tipped over 20% on the post tax amount.” Truly appalling thing to hear as you’re leaving a fine dining restaurant on this level. For the record, the British don’t have a tipping culture, but educated well-traveled Europeans always tip- especially the Americanized ones.
All in all, there’s nothing special about this restaurant. There are far better restaurants in Naples with consistently spectacular food and service. Perhaps we hit it on an off night, but this is basically peak “season” and most other restaurants are busy and full. We left with a bad taste in our mouth- literally.
