Portion sizes are huge! The chicken and mac and cheese are amazing! The dips were also really good, I only tried 2, but im going to work my way through trying them all.

On vacation, found this place on google. Drove 30 miles and it was well worth it. We have enough food to get us through tomorrow too.

Dude there’s so much I want to say. Let’s start off saying in todays economy everything going up you 100% get your moneys worth both portion wise and taste wise. The food tasted pretty dang good. As a Puerto Rican I’m picky on rice so I can take or leave the rice. But the Mac and cheese, the jerk chicken and the plantains were so freaking good! The festival bread alone is so good and different than regular bread. The plantains again were so good! IF YOU LIKE HOT SAUCE THIS PLACE IS PERFECT FOR YOU!! I’m so excited to eat my left overs for lunch tomorrow. Let’s keep in mind I can eat and put away food but this plate was so full I could not finish it! Will definitely come back!!

Wow. This is a great food truck. I came to this place on a Monday right when they opened at 2:00 and the first thing I see is this custom smoker they use to make their jerk. I got the One Love jerk chicken and pork with plantains. It was delicious and their jerk and scotch bonnet sauce was on point. I will be back.

Nestled in the heart of Navarre Beach, Florida, the Wah Gwaan Jerk Food Truck is a vibrant culinary gem that brings the rich, bold flavors of Jamaica to the Gulf Coast. My recent visit to this food truck was nothing short of a delightful gastronomic adventure, and the “Land & Sea” plate I savored left an indelible mark on my taste buds.
The Dish: Land & Sea: The “Land & Sea” plate is a harmonious blend of land and sea, featuring succulent red snapper and tender pork, both cooked to perfection. The red snapper was a standout, with its flaky texture and subtly spiced seasoning that transported me straight to the Caribbean. The pork, equally impressive, was juicy and flavorful, with a hint of smokiness that complemented the fish beautifully. Accompaniments: Rice and Beans: The rice and beans were a comforting and hearty side, cooked just right with a perfect balance of flavors. Each bite was a reminder of the soulful essence of Jamaican cuisine.
Plantain: The plantains were a sweet and savory delight, caramelized to perfection, adding a lovely contrast to the savory elements of the dish.
Festival: The festival, a kind of sweet fried cornbread, was a revelation. Its crispy exterior and soft, slightly sweet interior made it an irresistible treat that I couldn’t get enough of.
Ambiance and Service: The Wah Gwaan Jerk Food Truck exudes a welcoming and lively atmosphere, with the tantalizing aroma of jerk spices wafting through the air. The staff were friendly and attentive, eager to share their passion for Jamaican cuisine with every customer. Their warm hospitality added to the overall experience, making it not just a meal, but a memorable culinary journey.
Conclusion:
Wah Gwaan Jerk Food Truck is a must-visit for anyone in Navarre Beach looking to indulge in authentic Jamaican flavors. The “Land & Sea” plate is a testament to their culinary prowess, offering a delightful mix of textures and tastes that will leave you craving more. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, make sure to stop by and treat yourself to a taste of Jamaica right here in Florida.
