I did not have food, but this place being around since 1933 has some history. Even has a spot where Hemingway took a piss. Old liquor bottles, photos, firefighter helmets, bar signs, etc. A must visit for those looking for a dark old-style place to grab a drink. Do NOT modernize as it would ruin the atmosphere. Prices were a bit high, so maybe offer some specials.
Fun bar in Jax Beach! No cover but $10 cash to skip the line. The indoor space can be cramped and stuffy but music is good. The outdoor patio is great! It will definitely be packed on a busy day.
I wholeheartedly appreciate the efforts for inclusion of all patrons. The addition of motion sensing doors really speaks to their high level of commitment and caring nature.
