Not only is this place dark, and unwelcoming, the food was awful. How do you mess up breakfast? Our order was messed up twice over, and when our very nice waiter brought it back to the kitchen the cook decided to start yelling about it. Loud enough we heard it from our table. So much so I did want to say anything else to anyone about our meal. The two waitstaff we had were very kind, and did a fine job, but thats where the good things end. The waffle was hard as a rock, the potatoes were foul, the water tasted like chlorine, the sausage was delicious. It was the high point. I will not be back, and id be amazed if this place stays open if they dont make any changes.

Ordered the pastrami sandwich, worst I have ever had. Did not look like pastrami at all! Tasted terrible, very fatty, no taste. And potato salad was bland. I will not be back!

My first visit in the Grand Cafe. There’s no questioned the food was delicious. Having worked in a full size kitchen before for Eleven years and started out waitressing, I found it overall very good. There were small things that I questioned: There were only two servers. The woman worked as quick as She could to set- up our table. The other man was assisting a group of ladies. It appeared they could have used one more server. Despite the sandwich bread was thick, I soon understood why. It’s need to support the thick pastrami, which was still warm to the touch. I thought the prices were $1.00 higher overall on the entire menu. The menus could be displayed on a TV screen for all to see. Just a suggestion but not that important. The atmosphere was dark inside and did not have a theme . Maybe a Grand Cafe Station theme with trains or an outdoor Cafe in Europe. It was clean and paper was used on the tables rather than the smell of bleach. No one wants to smell bleach while eating their food - a Plus for them. Their best offer for the money was the half of a sandwich and a cup of soup. I had a choice between spicy Mexican or Matso Ball soup. I was surprised that they offered spicey soup, since the majority of customers in there were elderly. Most elderly can’t tolerate spicey foods. Again, our beverages were nice and hot, as the food was . The food was delicious including the FF. They were the skinny ones, which appeared to have a coating on them. A cooking technique of baking soda to ensure browning and crispiness. They were delicious. I highly recommend you try them out. Their food is hot and good. I would definitely go there again.

I’ve been coming to grand plaza for many months now and each and every time has been a wonderful experience. The food is fresh. The atmosphere relaxing and the employees are kind and attentive. The owners treat you like family and are always asking if there is anything that could be done to make things better. Keep up the great work and if you haven’t been to grand plaza cafe, give it a try. You won’t be disappointed.
