I highly recommend eating here! The crab is so fresh, the food delicious, and the staff are incredibly polite! We drove by so many times.. I’m sorry it took so long to stop in, but I’m glad we finally did! If you want great crab to eat, Old Bay Cafe is where you need to go!
Always makes a true MD crabcake! Fu open air seating.

We've been coming here for 9 years and the food is always great. Best crab cakes you can get in Florida. Authentic and consistent.

Found the place while traveling. Wanted reasonably priced seafood and a local restaurant. Great find, food was delicious. Fish tacos, obc burrito, and hot tots. Went back for more fish tacos. Outdoor seating, no ac, but some fans blowing, couple tvs, and shaded cover. Sink outside to wash hands, portapot across parking lot. Can get hot. It is Florida. Now that is out of the way. The staff was super nice, the food was delicious. Well worth it to eat outdoors. Fish tacos, fresh grilled hot fish, well balanced with cabbage and sauce. OBC burrito was good. They have choices of some hot sauces you can add to spice it up but was perfect for me. Hot tots, taters with crab, sour cream cheese, and chives were good, a special for the day. Would recommend going. We will be back when in the area. Not over priced like a fancy restaurant, but it's great food.

crab rolls were AMAZING!!!
this place has good food from what i remember. however, im here visiting from out of state since moving and was so excited to eat it again. i drove 45 min to try them because everything said they were open. when i got there, they were closed. no signage signing why, just closed. i wish something would’ve said somewhere online they’d be closed because i wasted quite a drive to get here.
Freaking amazing. Been in FL 5 years, many places advertise Md seafood. Those places were horrible, this place is legit. Had soft crab sandwich and crab cake platter. Felt like I was home. Ordered crab cake sandwich and shrimp to go. Can't wait to get back to er there. I'd give umm 10 stars if possible.

Ordered the fish and chips. The fish was raw and spoiled...smelled very bad. Not sure what else I could say. Too disgusted to even go back.
Chips were stale. Disappointing.

Being Marylander born and raised, finding a true crabcake in Florida is hard to find. I had heard good things about this place and on my way to Tampa I decided to go out of my way to try theirs.
I noticed they had run out of whatever pre-made crabcake mix they were using and had to scramble to make more for my order. I don't know if that is the cause or the fact it looked like canned and pasteurized crabmeat, but it had absolutely no flavor at all. I even took chunks of the crabmeat and tasted just those and it was just tasteless. It had the awesome look of a maryland crabcake, just lacked any flavor whatsoever. Perhaps in their rush, they missed an ingredient or it didn't have the normal time to soak in, as crabcake mix should be refrigerated for about an hour prior to cooking for the binder to set, but for whatever reason, it simply had no taste at all. I did enjoy the snowball I got with it, missed those from back home. I did not enjoy the brain freeze that came with it though. Lol. As a former restaurant owner in Maryland, and knowing how to make crabcakes myself, I will chalk this one up to their running out of their crabcake mix and rushing a new mix for the sake of filling my order. Will eventually give them another try when in that area again. So keeping my hopes up that this was a one off experience.
