We've been coming to The Beacon for years, it's a no frills typical diner, and we've always enjoyed the breakfast. Unfortunately we were disappointed this week. Ordered the Greek yogurt bowl, no melon. It came out with a few strawberries, pineapple and melon 😒. The server with the long blond hair who had been surely the entire time we were there was unapologetic saying, 'that's all we have.' We won't be back.

We came Sunday morning after sunrise and our waitress was nice. We sat outside and it was clean. We sat on the opposite side because someone had a dog (which I don't mind dogs but not all are well behaved), but they sat a family next to us with a dog anyway. It was fine the dog was good. The thing that I was upset about was the waitress handing us our check right when we just started eating. She did tell us no rush, but I felt rushed. I thought it was something they do, but I heard the waitress ask someone else if they were ready for their check, so it definitely isn't something they do. The home fries were not what I expected, but it didn't taste bad. The atmosphere was okay. The main thing that bothered me the most was having my check given to me when I just started eating.

Possibly the very best breakfast in New Smyrna Beach! A local icon, with long term staff who are friendly and fun. We have not found anything on the menu that isn’t fantastic. Experience and taste this locals favorite spot. 🤙

Yeah I got the French toast special and the menu online says it's only six bucks but I got charged 12 I'm guessing this hasn't been updated since covid

We came here for breakfast, it sure was delicious, I ordered a tall chocolate milk, short stack chocolate chip pancakes with a side of sausage patties, well done, food came out great! Added butter & syrup, perfect! My family ordered omlettes, home fries, eggs, toast, French toast, everyone enjoyed their meals, no complaints. The staff were so gracious, plenty of visits to our tables with fresh coffee, so accommodating! Would definitely recommend this spot for a great meal, they do lunch as well, great quality and service!
