The Chips and Salsa Sampler included guacamole, roasted chipotle salsa, and salsa verde. I liked the red salsa, but not the green salsa. The Vegan Poke Salad included avocado, carrot, cucumber, ginger, quinoa, radish, red cabbage, snow peas, spinach, and tofu. Except for the tasty sauce, it was a healthful choice.

So many great choices for healthy vegans. It’s a drive for us and I’m always impressed with the fresh and tasty dishes. Just wish we lived closer. Why don’t other restaurants taste this good?
New visit: it was an upgraded experience so we are upgrading our rating and review. This visit (10/11/25) the vibe ✨️ is better than our last visit and so is the food and service. Summer was excellent at assisting us with questions and generally offering great customer service. The Mahi Tacos ($12) were excellent. The blackened Mahi was some of the best we have tasted! Excellent sauce as well. Previous visit: We enjoyed the outdoor setting. Service was okay...Anna L was our server. Prices were a bit high. Food was good but what we ordered was nothing special.

Service and record were superb, AND the owners weee present and we had a nice chat. Location is quiet and out of the way and I really liked it. As a restaurant owners myself I notice the details. Great little spot in New Smyrna Beach! I loved the menu selection - honestly I had a hard time deciding what I wanted to order.. I was going between Thai Curry, Tina poke bowl, Bibimpap and Quinoa salad - I decided it will have to be a quinoa salad and I will have to come back several times to try everything else. I was pleasantly surprised to see such a great fusion of different ethnic cuisines. My salad was great! My husband ordered tuna poke bowl, that was very flavorful - the presentation was beautiful! We got a side of yucca fries garnished with butter garlic sauce; it was perfectly crisp and delicious. We will be back soon!

We checked out Café Verde after a local realtor raved about it, and I’m glad we did. It’s tucked behind a Mexican restaurant on Flagler Beach, with plenty of parking if you come in through the back. Even though it was a rainy day, the covered outdoor seating was comfortable and inviting. The whole place has a modern yet cozy vibe, and the staff couldn’t have been friendlier.
I went with the tuna poke bowl while my wife had the quinoa salad with shrimp, and we added a side of yuca fries. Everything was incredibly fresh, plated beautifully, and tasted just as good as it looked. The menu is really diverse, so whether you’re craving something light or something hearty, you’ll definitely find it here.
The service was quick, the mocktails were excellent, and overall the whole experience was top-notch. We’re already talking about what we’ll try on our next visit. This spot is an easy five stars from us.

Almost the entire menu is vegan and gluten free OR vegan and gluten free optional!
We had the chips and salsa sampler and yuca fries for an appetizer. The chips tasted stale, the guacamole was fine, the red salsa was good, the verde salsa didn’t have much of a taste at all. The yuca fries were really good and crispy but the sauce was DELISH!! Like, so good that I scooped the cup with my finger!
I ordered a V/GF poke salad with tofu, subbing mixed greens instead of spinach for the base. It was SO tasty and filling. Again, the house made poke sauce was so good! I had to ask for extra.
My husband ordered the tofu curry. I tried it and it was good but nothing out of this world. I definitely have had better curries before. I almost ordered it but after tasting I was happy with my poke decision. It was definitely filling and he liked all of the veggies in it.
We sat on the covered patio during a rainstorm and it was SO delightful!

My visiting son is vegan (plant-based diet), and Cafe Verde really surprised him. We all loved it! Sat outside on a hot day, but you would have never noticed sitting on the patio. Service was great. Good beer selection. And, you must try the grilled tuna (best I've ever had). Enjoy, you won't be disappointed

Extremely disappointing experience. I ordered an “add-on” of steak for my meal that cost $8 for just 4oz. What I received looked and tasted like the burnt ends and scraps from other steaks—dry, tough, and charred beyond reason. It felt like they were just repurposing leftovers instead of serving a proper portion of quality steak.
At this price point, you’d expect at least something edible. This alone ruined the meal for me.
