Dined with friends in upstairs dining area. Very pleasant once fans were shut off which took the chill out of the room. Excellent drinks, food and service. One of our favorite restaurants in New Smyrna Beach.
It was January 1st so there were no high expectations. The server did forget a couple of things but the food was outstanding. The clams, escargot and octopus legs were done just right.
We have been to Flagler Tavern numerous times in the past and always had good food and service so we hope tonight's experience was a one off. They were out of many items on the menu as the had a busier than expected holiday weekend. I understand things happen but you're a business and if you're going to open your doors you should have most of your menu items which was not the case tonight.
