We use to love this place! Haven’t been in a few years and stopped by the other day. The younger girl working was not friendly at all and the acai base that use to be the best has changed and tasted like nothing. Wouldn't come here again :(

Mason bar used to be the best place to get Açaà bowls in New Smyrna beach. I hadn’t been there in a couple years and I was craving one so I went. I got a large açaà bowl, (which used to be $11) She rings in my order and it comes out to $17. I mean I understand inflation, but this is outrageous. The açaà base itself was literally just shaved ice, and it tasted like water. I was so disappointed, definitely NOT worth $17. Do not spend your money here.

Some of the best acai bowls you will get in the NSB area! I will say that there isn't much space to just sit and eat with friends, but I typically take my bowl and walk over to the park to eat, which gives me time to eat by the water.

The bowls and smoothie our family ordered were tasty, healthy, and fresh. The restaurant was bright and sunny, with indoor and outdoor seating. However, the signs/menu were very confusing. There was no printed or online menu that I could find. No prices were listed except for the snack bites. When I asked the staff about pricing and customization options, they were very unhelpful, bordering on rude. It took a very long time to place our order and receive our items, despite 3 employees working and minimal customers present. Employee training and clear pricing and menu choices would have made this a much better experience.

Mason Bar has cemented itself as a New Smyrna Beach classic at this point, and for good reason. It has all the beachy vibes that tourists and as well as residents can appreciate. Of course the main appeal is the food. My favorite thing to get here is the smoothies. The very hilariously named D’s Nuts and the Joe are my top picks! The Acaj bowls are also pretty decent, the are very generous with their peanut butter, which is something I utmost appreciate. But as to why it isn’t 5 stars, is because I just don’t think it was as good as previous times I’ve been. Maybe it was just a bad day, though so take my 4 stars with a grain of salt. If I go again and it improves I would easily change it to a 5. Great place, for pretty much anyone. Good vegan and vegetarian options of course, and even kids can find something to like here. Pretty solid place, would recommend.
