McKenna's Place NSB

We ate here 2 nights out of three while on vacation. Best place EVER! Angelina was an awesome server. We had a huge party (25-35) and she came in special just for us. We will be back🥰

This was honestly one of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve had. To start, the menus were sticky and had little crumbs on them.. it was just gross. The table was also sticky, again, gross. The alcoholic drinks were definitely a rip off. Worst of all, the buffalo chicken dip was DISGUSTING! It came in a little ramekin, not even completely filled up, but served with way too many chips and stale pieces of pita bread to go with such a small amount. I have a hard time believing there was even any chicken in it. It was literally baked cream cheese with hot sauce mixed in. Very unappetizing. After the dirty atmosphere, scammy drinks, and terrible appetizer, we ended up not even ordering entrees and headed over to Half Wall for a decent restaurant experience.

The fish tacos were recommended to me for my first visit. They are delicious! I got the fried fish. Our server was super friendly, I'm sorry I can't remember her name, Angelica or Angelina or something like that. She is a gem. Great atmosphere and great service. Definitely looking forward to visiting the next time I'm in the area.

Easily one of the worst restaurants in the area save your money and go to half wall i ordered the buffalo chicken dip it was 15.95 and its about a vending machine amount of stale chips with a butter dish of microwaved Mexican cheese with not a bit of chicken in it you think they would make up for it with their drink prices but they got a bs 2 for 1 deal where they give you two cups of gas station margaritas mix this place is trash!! Literally just go dine in at McDonald's and anyone the puts a good review on this place is either a local that's always there or they never ate out in their life

I got chicken tenders and fries. You might think, why would you get that at a unqiue restaurant? I have dietary restrictions and while they had plenty of other stuff...I was just feeling like getting the tenders. Anyways, the server was so nice (and was funny too), i think it was something starting with a J??

John or Joe, not sure! Couldn't hear over neighboring table who were having a fun time. But either way, it was great service and food! Tenders were exactly what I needed.

The menu has something for everyone! The newly added sweet potato fries, crispy hot and delicious! We always love the cobb and creative specials. Soups, service,bar 👍🏻👍🏻 John really gives back to NSB community, thank you!!

I generally like McKennas but today, after looking forward to it for weeks, I had the most disappointing corned beef and cabbage dinner. Absolutely no flavor, at all, shredded carrot, sliced sandwich meat corned beef, and flavorless diced potatoes. I was a cook for years and have never enjoyed a corned beef and cabbage meal less than this one. And I paid around $25 for it. Certainly won’t make this mistake again!!!

My husband and I found this gem when we were looking for a local restaurant with seafood. There is so much more to their menu…many different options to choose from. Everything we ordered was perfect. This will definitely be a regular spot we visit.

We have gone to McKennas many times, but this is the first time I ordered their shrimp and grits. I definitely wouldn't advise it ... It was the worst I have ever had. The grits were a big deep fried wedge and the cheese tasted like either Velveeta or cheese wiz. It was terrible. I hope they relook at their dish and make changes. I would not recommend.

The food and service are always good but last night our waitress Emily was terrific. She was very friendly and patient as we had a lot of questions about the new menu and she was attentive but not overbearing. We of course will be back especially for the new lunch menu.
