We sat at the bar and first thing the foot rest broke off the bar. Then it took forever for the bartender to get our drink order. There were fruit flies everywhere. The Frankenstein grilled wings were good. I was charged extra for grilled plain wings but there was nothing grilled about them. Once our food was delivered we were never asked if we needed anything else. No second round of drinks, no silverware, no napkins, nothing. Very disappointed will not go back.

Merks is usually a great experience, but the waiter/ manager named .. Joe .. he is supposed to be the manager, but not doing a very great job at it. was very very rude.. I initially came to relax, sit back, and chill Lord behold .. the devil.. he is not a good person to work at any establishment.. non-attentive, very rude,. He did not greet me into that setting in a comfortable way. And when he did finally, finally, come to assist me. It was still obnoxiousAnd as I explained at least three times With my order. he insisted on alcohol. They need to fire him.

Wings were good but what is up with all the surcharges. Just be honest about your price. $15 wings with $4.50 in surcharge..?

When choosing a place to eat tonight we took the advice of friends. Merks was definitely the right call! From being greeted when we walked in to the superstar service at the bar. I think it was Michelle and Joe at the bar but so many people jumped in and helped and we were never left wanting. Food came out hot and our glasses were never empty. The GM Kay? Stopped in and checked on us and was great telling us about the history of the “locals” bar that also loves their out of town visitors. We will definitely return soon and often!
