Norwood's Restaurant & Treehouse Bar

Norwoods is a go to restaurant when you want to impress out of town guests. I have lived in Volusia County for six years ands I feel it is the number one restaurant in the area. Lex was a top server that specialized in accommodating our health needs no matter what. The service was exceptionally fast for a crowded
restaurant.
The food should be put on the cooking channel. Sauces on their fish really brought out the flavor. Rolls were fresh baked, butter homemade, green beans has real flavor. Garlic mashed potatoes were a real hit. All desserts are homemade. The cheesecake had fresh blueberry topping made from local ingredients . They have the largest wine list in the region.

Beautiful atmosphere, delicious food, and great service. The treehouse is incredible. We ordered 2 different shrimp dishes, both were raved about the burgers came out perfectly cooked. The only complaint was the onions weren't fully Carmel in color, more white/clear. The BBQ sauce was incredible. All sauces made in house. Even when some things were missing when the food was delivered to our table, they got it to us expedited. Even Had a sling for my newborn infant car seat! Awesome restaurant! Loved it!

We had a great Sunday evening dinner experience. We walked in at 6pm and were able to get seated quickly, Sarah our server was warm and charming, and our meals came out delicious and lightning fast.

We've been to Norwood's a few times o er the years and this was a really good visit tonight. Highlights were shrimp and grits, and grilled blackened shrimp. A+

Service by Ashley this afternoon was impeccable. Very friendly sociable and attentive. We drove in from Orlando for a beach day and have been wanting to try this restaurant so bad since we found it on google and unfortunately the food was less than appetizing. The calamari was way too rubbery and the captains platter was extremely bland. Everything had a frozen taste. The fries and hush puppies were the stars of the show! Loved them. But honestly chef needs to do a lot better. Unfortunately we will not be returning.

Too many dogs...

Been coming here for years for the great vibes and beautiful atmosphere among the live oak canopy. Tonight’s live music was incredible, the burger was delicious, and staff were friendly as always. The best part? The patio is dog friendly! My pup especially appreciated his very own doggo meal and water. Best treehouse around!

I got food poisoning two out of two times eating here. The upstairs is infested with bees/wasps. Not worth the premium money paid for a mediocre meal and incompetent staff.

I had an absolutely horrible experience at Norwood’s in New Smyrna. My group and I were treated in a way that felt extremely discriminatory and homophobic. We were made to feel unwelcome simply because we are gay, and members of the dining staff were allowed to kick us out instead of management stepping in and handling the situation professionally.

I have a video recording of what happened, and honestly, it was one of the most anti-accepting and uncomfortable environments I have ever been in. No one should go out to eat and be treated like they do not belong because of who they are or who they are with. It was humiliating, upsetting, and completely unacceptable.

On top of the way we were treated, the food was not even good enough to make the experience remotely worth it. It was subpar at best, and the overall atmosphere was terrible. A restaurant should be welcoming to all paying customers, not a place where people are singled out, embarrassed, or removed because of their sexuality.

I would never recommend Norwood’s to anyone, especially anyone in the LGBTQ+ community or anyone who supports basic human decency. This was one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had, and I hope people think twice before spending money at a business that allows this kind of behavior. Please do not eat here. The location is awful, the food is mediocre, and the way we were treated was disgusting.

This place is amazing. We had dinner at the top of a tree. How often can you say that? The service and food were amazing. I had a small issue with my steak being too rare however they checked on us after a couple of bites and specifically asked if the steak was cooked to preference and immediately corrected it. The steak was tender the Yukon gold potato cake was crispy edged. Another delightful surprise was the Key Lime Pie. I have never had better. The crunchy fruity pebbles just added to the texture. If you are looking for a fun date night or just visiting the area. I highly recommend you have dinner in the trees.

This was an amazing restaurant to go to, however service can very much impact the experience. Our server Bri was not attentive, left several times without making sure drinks were good , to the point that I went to the bar and started a bar tab and served my family., it seems as though she had a dismissive attitude and something was going on, which made her experience a little less enjoyable. Food was great, atmosphere amazing. We would go back next time we're in the area, don't let the bad experience in one server keep you from going.

Nick was absolutely amazing and he even brought me a key lime pie slice for my birthday!!!! Food was excellent!!! Thank you Nick!!

Very cool vibe.

Took 6 to dinner at peak time, was able to get seated immediately.

Scratch kitchen, amazing food & atmosphere.

Didn’t get the treehouse because we had someone under 21 with us- but the whole experience was great.

Drink wasn't as strong as it should have been. The food was okay, no oysters would have liked to be a bad set up in a treehouse with my grandkids.

We always have a great time at Norwoods when we visit!! Great food, even better people!
