The Local Pearl was recommended to my wife and I as THE place for oysters. I LOVE oysters so I had them three ways: raw on the half-shell, fried and oyster stew. They were all great, the oysters impeccably fresh and very well prepared. Excellent!

Cool little place, a little bit on the hipster side, but not annoyingly so. Great selection of oysters from different regions. The day we were there, they featured several varieties from different waters in Florida and Texas. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, which is very important when dealing with a dozen or so varieties of oyster. We had just popped in for a quick snack so l can't speak on the entrees. We each had the ceviche, which was very good, fresh and well seasoned, but the portion size was a little on the small side. Then we split 3 dozen oysters, so much for a snack! But they were so good! Fresh, sweet, briny and good sized. We had to force ourselves to stop eating them! They were served with their own take on a mignonette and a local hot sauce along with horse radish and lemon. If you like oysters, definitely check this place out!

A nice surprise. We were intially looking for somewhere on the water to continue enjoying the atmosphere since we dont get to the beach often. We were unsure about other places and gave this place a shot based on reviews and pictures. Happy we came! Nice staff, cute place and area and delicious food and not too far from the beach at all.

Great food, selection, service and wine. Highly suggest people try it. Past owners of The Spanish River Grill, you can't go wrong

Best oysters in town, I permanently live here. Also, any fish on menu or catch of the day - yes they know how to cook it and is 100% legit.

This place has the best burger ever...funny it's a seafood joint. They have a chopped steak and eggs that will blow your mind. I wish they had more land items...can only go for brunch.. All my friends like seafood and I do not. I will nibble at calamari, oysters, some fish not enough to eat dinner there. From what I have tasted and by what my friends say this place is the place....must try.

First time there and only had happy hour oysters, but they were FANTASTIC!! Also, great service! We will definitely be back to try a dinner dish!

This is an absolute must for anyone wanting oysters and light bites. Best oyster offerings in the area. Excellent wine list as well. It's a must go.

Loved the blue point oysters. Wished I had ordered more. Oyster stew was good. The fish tacos were very good as well.

Their service is amazing. The owner or manager whoever stopped to talked to us made us feel so welcome. Their food TO DIE FOR. I’m funny about trying new things and they just hit the palette on every course. I’m not an oyster person, but their 1901, I drooled all night over! Definitely will be returning.

Well, Henry has done it again.. in partnership with Dan Local Pearl is the place to be. We went with high expectations and we were not disappointed... we tried 5 appetizers one main dish and a dessert and every single bite was nothing short of amazing! The Pan Roast My ONLY complaint was about this ( and damn it was amazing) was it was served with pumpernickel bread, you aren't tasting this amazing broth with pumpernickel bread, I asked for grilled bread and it was spot. On. I could have drank that broth straight out of a martini glass! #justsaynotopumpernickle Priced very fairly and probably the best meal I've had in this town in a long damn time.. long. damn. time! 2 forks up, high up! The place is super small so Reservations are recommended

One of my wife's friends invited us to NSB for the farmer's market and lunch. She did not have a particular place in mind, we just knew for lunch. Walking down the drag we saw their sign and said "sure let's try it " So glad we did. The hostess sat us early and the gentleman behind the bar shucking the oysters really knew his stuff. We were told where the different routers came from, their salinity, their texture etc. He really nailed each one. After a dozen each an appetizer and a couple of beers it was time to go. We have already made plans to enjoy some oysters again in the very near future.

I had a delightful experience today! My hubby had to stay home, so I went to The Local Pearl Oyster Shoppe. I was so impressed. The staff, David, Dan and Kyle, were excellent...knowledgeable and interesting to talk to about a variety of things...particularly oysters and ships! The oysters were delicious as was the Sangria! I cannot wait to take my husband back with me!
