🌟 Post-Fireworks Perfection at Twistee Treat! 🌟

After an amazing Fourth of July fireworks show on the beach, my friends and I were craving something sweet — and Twistee Treat New Smyrna Beach delivered big time. This iconic cone-shaped stand is walk-up and drive-through only, and even with a line wrapping around the building, everything moved impressively fast. The staff kept things flowing smoothly with big smiles and a relaxed, friendly vibe.

I ordered a coffee and peanut butter flavored malt with rainbow sprinkles on top, and wow — it was out of this world! Creamy, bold, and just the right mix of sweet and nutty. The malt added that extra nostalgic touch that made it feel like a true treat. Twistee Treat always nails their flavors, but this combo might be my new go-to.

What I love most about this location is the classic summer-night energy. You walk up (or roll through the drive-thru), chat with upbeat staff who actually seem happy to be there, and walk away with something that instantly lifts your mood.

Twistee Treat is more than just ice cream — it's a sweet little tradition. Whether it's after fireworks, a beach day, or just because… this spot is a must. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the New Smyrna Beach area!

Great ice cream and great people

On July 5, 2025 approximately 10p, I chose not to purchase after viewing all of employees without gloves on their hands. I watched one employee lick his fingers with a customer cone in his hand, wipe his hand on his shirt, and then hand the customer the cone without washing his hands. There is an extreme sanitation issue at this location. All employees should be required to have serve safe food handling certification.

Very slow and poor service.

Love the twirls and the malts! My grandson though just wanted the strawberry icecream (his fav) great icecream (soft serve) all sorts of great options! Make sure you join the rewards program too! The general manager Daniel took care of us and Was very friendly and helpful.

I don't know why people complain about the service because the guy we had serving us was prompt and very nice to us. The ice cream hit the spot. Try the banana soft serve, it has allot of flavor

Poor service. In addition Drove one hour a few times to come here and theyre out of ice vanilla cream. Would be great if they answered the phone to give folks a heads up.

The people here have always gone way above an beyond.. they are literally one of the main reasons I come here besides them having the best milkshake in town

Ty and Sam made the best Sunday and ice cream cones they are super fresh and really cool people will come back.

Just left the NSB locations and the cashier Ty was very polite and great personality.

Young man at counter not very helpful when I asked about the flavors. Common flavors were in big type on the outside sign. Other flavors listed underneath in smaller print and hard to see. He could have helped a woman wearing glasses his grandmother’s age but…
The young ladies making the order skipped right over my MIL’s order and served the next people in line. We had to ask for it and while they made it there was no apology. The ice cream itself has a wonderful creamy texture but the flavors were bland. The location in Orlando is much better

The ice cream at Twistee Treat in New Smyrna is delicious, but the awful service completely ruined our experience. The drive-thru guy was actually really nice and helpful, which made the contrast with management even better .
What I assume was the manager was incredibly rude and disrespectful. When we simply asked for some paper napkins, this person snatched them from the friendly drive-thru worker and deliberately gave us fewer than we needed. It was petty and unprofessional.
The quality of the ice cream can't make up for such poor customer service. It's a shame that one person's bad attitude can tarnish the reputation of the whole establishment. I'd love to enjoy their treats again, but I won't be back unless there are some serious changes in how customers are treated.
If you're in the mood for ice cream and don't mind being treated poorly, then by all means, stop by. Otherwise, I'd recommend finding another place that values its customers.
